What’s amazing to me is how many people in politics still completely fail to understand why COVID remains such a defining issue for so many conservatives They reduce it to “vaccine conspiracies” because that’s easier than confronting what actually happened COVID wasn’t just about a vaccine!! For many conservatives, it was the moment we watched governments overstep in ways many never thought possible People lost jobs, businesses were destroyed, families were divided and BASIC freedoms were treated like privileges that could be revoked at any moment We don’t just get forgot because the news cycle moved on The fact that some political insiders still can’t grasp this tells me they are either deeply out of touch or willfully ignoring why so many new conservatives got involved in the first place 🙄🙄🙄
