Trump enfureció ante la noticia que Corea del Sur negocia con Irán un permiso de paso para 26 buques con 180 tripulantes surcoreanos atrapados en Ormuz.
Corea del Sur importa casi el 100% de su energía. Cerca del 75% del petróleo y el 20% del GNL que consume proviene de Medio Oriente. La escasez de combustibles está afectando sus exportaciones y producción.
El presidente Lee Jae-myung ordenó además revisar la posibilidad de enviar ayuda humanitaria a Irán a cambio de dejar pasar los barcos.
La respuesta de Trump: "¿Saben quién más no nos ayudó? Corea del Sur no nos ayudó. Tenemos 45.000 soldados en Corea del Sur para protegerlos de Kim Jong Un, con quien me llevo muy bien. Dijo cosas muy buenas de mí. Solía llamar a Joe Biden retrasado mental."
