"But Julia, what do we actually DO with our kids right now?"
Here's the truth nobody wants to hear: it's not school vs. homeschool. It's what happens at HOME that matters most.
My kids are in public school. And at home, here's what's different:
They know what ChatGPT and Claude are. My 11-year-old girl can prompt AI better than most adults. My 3-year-old boy plays intelligent learning games while I sit right beside him.
We pay for apps with AI tutors. They're learning multiple languages — because nothing lights up a developing brain like learning to think in a new language.
But here's the part people miss:
We also do phone-free time. Face-to-face conversations. Eye contact. Real connection.
Because the future doesn't belong to kids who can use AI.
It belongs to kids who can use AI and look another human in the eye with confidence, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
Tech skills without EQ is a recipe for a very smart, very lost adult.
Balance isn't boring. It's the strategy.
Hey @brian_armstrong, it looks like LinkedIn is a required field for applying to @coinbase . Is this actually a filter for getting a job at Coinbase, or a mistake? LinkedIn is a fake place for virtue signaling, desperate corporate buzzword junkies. Hope it's not true, thanks!
