Started audiobooks on all the movies I love this past year. Hail Marry was first time I could snob, book was better then movie. Movie visual and voices always help me with reading and listening. I.E. Johnny Depp voice in head while reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. All LOTR. JP, Steven King movie books. Forest Gump….:: many more on channel four.

@ziggyfro @funkyhumanbean I’ve always been a fan of watching then reading. I’m almost finished with the audio book and it fills it out so well (of course!). Went and rewatched with my daughter and yeah it’s not great reading then watching EVER. Love the movie!

Project Hail Mary is an absolute masterpiece. Maybe the best movie I have ever seen. I just watched it again and it got even better. The universe is trying to tell us something…and we’re just not getting it. We “need more puppet shows for our tiny brains”. Spoiler Alert!!! If you haven’t seen the movie, stop here. Go watch it. Don’t say you’re too busy, that’s rubbish, it’s all about how we choose to prioritize things and spend our time. This is worth it. I had to find out what Grace says when he first meets the rest of the crew, and the guy says something in Mandarin. @grok told me he said “This guy speaks like a child” (Or more literally “Why does he talk to us as if we were all children?”) It’s an incredible commentary on how we are so similar, yet so different at the same time, and most times we’re just too stupid to understand each other. Low Fidelity. Two scenes which made me laugh out way too loud: - “It’s a tough room” - assigning Rocky a voice And the scene where she sings “Sign of the Times”? 🤯 Go watch it. Then come watch a Starship launch 🤩 🚀

@ziggyfro First time I ever did a book before the movie. I think seeing the movie first helps visualize the book or else I can’t always picture it. Rocky’s voice in audio book is as rad as his sight and crystal sight scope in the movie.
