👻Ghostly Phenomenology👻
I had considered going the Google Doc route but then I tested it by writing something up quickly without breaks. Even going through and editing the writing, since it was all written within, like, an hour, it showed up as a homogenous chunk in the version history. Unusable.

teachers requiring you to submit your assignments as google docs so they can look through the edit history and tell you didn't use ai is killing the "do it at the last minute" crowd.

@bob45937028 @WildSentences If a student can pass a class without attending then the lecturer is doing a poor job, I have had numerous classes where I benefit from learning the material by myself

Friend started running a while back, and I asked how many miles she does a week and she told me she doesn’t know, that she just goes outside and runs and stops when she’s tired.

Tennis is also fun. Not a comment on physique, just a great sport.

The greatest athletic physiques men can attain are probably from swimming, rowing, and combat sports. I think it’s not accidental that this correlates to the age of the sport. We figured out all we needed millennia ago.

@Lilydm961 @janedazey @the_fakeRed you mean the narrator was romanticizing someone she loved? I think it was pretty obvious that Rochester is portrayed as not-a-good-person but despite that jane still loves him. half of his arc is that he knows he's a horrible person

@janedazey @the_fakeRed Rochester does suck though! He tries to marry Jane without even telling her about his other wife

@Columba_1 think that claiming the vast majority of people at one point acted out their lives as if following the bible or shakespeare is slightly absurd. literature is formed on the collective consciousness, not vice versa

The vast majority of people act out the most intimate and important parts of their lives as if following a script. In the past that script was drawn from the Bible, Shakespeare, myths and legends, and so on. Now it's Euphoria and other, even gayer television programmes.

@bovineflu Monolingualism and Illiteracy are siblings. USians are so fucking spoiled anytime a professor has an accent dumbas students will complain that they can't learn. They're whining about a guys accent meanwhile none of them could even order a beer in a second language.
