@reidhannaford Yes and that process in VFX films is called "Layout". Layout Artists are responsible for creating the camera moves using simpler stand-in Models of the environment and rigged characters. Once approved this is passed up stream to Environments Dept and Animation.

This is wild. Every filmmaker needs to try this hybrid AI workflow for precision camera control: 1) Block out your camera in Blender to create a motion reference and animate the camera move 2) Generate your start frame in Midjourney to match the pose and composition 3) Feed both to Seedance It tracks the move almost exactly. This is the most powerful hybrid pipeline I've tried yet.

Ran SCAIL-2 through a bunch of tests, it's extremely prompt-adherent, the motion capture is extremely impressive. Definitely recommend playing with this if you're looking to do motion transfer into a reference image.

LTX-2 trainer is a huge deal. I tried it to add water to the podracers scene using their demo water-sim fine-tune (it's a fine-tune whose only goal is to add water :D) I think we're going to see film productions that don't use general models. They'll train their own fine-tunes, built for exactly what they need and consistent between shots for long content.

Testing SCAIL-2, an open source model for motion transfer. I wanted to see how it can handle driving videos with fast, dynamic movement. The part that really impressed me was how the model retained details from the input character's outfit (especially the straps on the shorts). I attached the input character below for you to compare against. The model also has a replacement mode that swaps the character into the driving video's scene, but here I used animation mode, which keeps the reference image's scene instead.
