@Variety @GraceRandolph a very interesting story. A lot of companies with heavy ties to the tech industry are being real weird about this film. One of A24s largest owners is a hedge fund which also invests in open AI. Studios seem like they’re being silenced by big tech.

Several of the buyers who screened Luca Guadagnino’s hotly anticipated “Artificial” in the days after Amazon MGM Studios abruptly dropped the film have passed on acquiring it. Focus Features, Warner Bros.’ Clockwork, A24 and Netflix have all stepped away, according to those sources. But the Sam Altman drama, which is nearly completed, isn’t without suitors. Director Curry Barker says the opportunities that followed the success of ‘OBSESSION’ were “unbelievable.” “I realized I can do whatever I want now. My whole career, I’ve had to come up with crazy ideas and pitch them and if it didn’t go over well, I’d have to come up with something else. @serpentblanco @obliviouslad_ redbull has the fastest ICE, but that's only 50% of the total Power Unit. The other 50% is battery which they definitely don't have the best. You can see that by how they haven't had a podium level car the entire season so far. Their car is in fact the 4th fastest.

@GianmarcoSoresi How can you form any type of opinion when you don’t have any idea on the pay structures and contracts and any bonuses? They aren’t required to say if they have anyone anything. Curry Barker sold the film and for all we know he gave the main contributors a piece.

@EZE3D Focus Features paid 15 mil for the movie to Curry Barker, and for this budget of movie is just crazy. In their eyes they've done all the risk marketing and distributing. Barker, who got the 15 mil, would be the one I'd look at to pay his crew some type of bonus.

The Obsession distributor can get an easy PR win, give a small % of the movies insane earnings to the people who made the movie. You know, the ones the audience are paying to support when they buy a ticket. Or when you see a movie do you pay to support the risk investors took?
