@JamesMelville 'Palestine' never had sovereignty. It was founded as a province of the Roman empire on land stolen from the Judea. After that, it was just conquered by empire after empire until a new Jewish state was established there, replacing the one destroyed by the Roman Empire.

I’ve just watched Palestine 36: So many people need a history lesson. October 7th wasn’t the start. It goes back a long long way. Imagine being a citizen to a place that lost status, sovereignty, human rights, freedom and land. And then for decades got hemmed in, encroached, destroyed and an appropriation of the land unchecked. Destinies of people who have lived there for generations completely torn up. Grief turns into rage. It would anywhere. But apparently it’s “antisemitic” to raise any concerns about this.

@savechildrenuk It's tragic how worthwhile charities, founded to intervene to make lives better, like Save the Children, have been taken over by political campaigners more interested in trying to be politicians than actually doing what the charity was founded to do. Ramadan is irrelevant .

As families across Sudan marked the end of Ramadan, at least 64 people, including 13 children, were reportedly killed when a drone strike hit a major hospital in el-Daein, the capital of East Darfur state. Eid al-Fitr should be a day of joy, celebration and spending time with loved ones. Instead, children in Sudan are being killed in places where they should be safe. Since the conflict started almost three years ago, it's been reported that drones have been used in over 1,000 attacks, killing civilians including children. Children are not only caught in the crossfire but in many cases, they are directly targeted or suffer the long-term consequences of conflict. They should not be paying the price for a conflict they did not create. The UK Government must do everything it can to ensure the perpetrators of these horrific crimes are held to account, and push for an immediate end to the violence. @savechildrenuk @CalumGW How many times did you tweet about the Bibas babies? Did you ask hamas to send them home alive with their mother? Did you ask the red Cross to make sure they were in good health? Did you do anything at all? No, didn't think so. Strick your virtue signalling

It's been reported that an Israeli court ruled Walid Ahmad, a Palestinian child who died while detained in an Israeli prison, was 'likely starved'. He was held for six months without charge. Sadly, such ill-treatment is not unusual. It is unconscionable that any child should be treated this way. ❗ Content warning: child sexual violence and abuse Palestinian children are the only children in the world to experience systematic prosecution in military courts. It’s an abusive, inhumane prosecution system, where children are being physically, emotionally and sexually abused, humiliated and starved in Israeli military detention. The UK Government should publicly call for the release of all Palestinian children arbitrarily detained and call for an end to Israeli military authorities arresting, detaining and prosecuting children.

Lebanon, 1982. Not October 7. Not today. Hezbollah didn't exist. Hamas didn't exist. Israel was always the problem. Repost this.

@christoaivalis Iran has been invading and destabilising countries since the Islamic regime took over. The fact it has done it through proxies makes them no less guilty.

There is a species of ant that approaches the edge of another colony, kills a single worker, and then takes on the dead ant’s scent. For ants, scent is everything. Wearing that scent, the intruder walks in with no resistance. The workers pass by without concern. The intruder moves inward, toward the queen, then It sprays the queen with a different scent that makes the workers turn on her. Then they surround her and kill her. The intruder does not need to fight anyone. The colony does the work itself. Once the queen is gone, the intruder reproduces. The true invader is no longer an intruder. It is the future. This is how ideological takeover works. A destructive foreign ideology takes the scent of familiar ideas and walks in as if it belongs. It speaks the native vocabulary, justice, equality, compassion, rights, progress. It uses these words and quietly changes what they point to. Then it moves inward. It alters how foundations are perceived. Responsibility is made to smell like cruelty, law like oppression, borders like hatred, tradition like danger, history like guilt. At that point, the civilization turns on itself. Its courts, universities, churches, media, and bureaucracies begin treating their own foundations as threats. They believe they are defending the system. They are enforcing what now smells legitimate. They do not see the intruder because it sounds exactly like them. And when the founding principles are finally removed, discredited, dismantled, erased, the foreign ideology does not need to conquer anything. It inherits what is left. The queen is gone. The colony is no longer itself. The most effective conquest is the one that convinces a society that its own foundations are the enemy, and that killing them is an act of virtue.

You might want to brush up on your international law before calling it illegal. In his book, De Iure Belli ac Pacis, Grotius, the founder of international law, makes it clear that any nation that has been the victim of aggression can seize such territory from an aggressor to ensure he is incapable of again launching such an aggression. This principle governed many redrawing of borders over the last centuries or two. In Lebanon’s case, its territory has consistently been used since 1948 to attack Israel without provocation. Four times (1948, 1978, 1982, 2006) has Israel, including in 1948, has Israel needed to seize territory up to the Litani River to reverse the aggressions and forestall future ones. Four times (1948, 1978, 1999, 2006) has Israel left the territory to the original, verified Sykes-Picot border line, only to find itself subject to renewed aggressions. After five times, it stands to reason Grotius’ principles can be applied.

In an attempt to ANNEX southern Lebanon, Israel is now setting up fortifications & creating a so-called “buffer zone” between Israel & Lebanon. Israel is already ILLEGALLY occupying about 8% of Lebanon’s territory.

🚨The war with Iran should never make us forget about Hezbollah and what it represents: an Iranian proxy that operates as a state within a state. Such proxies must be dismantled before any ceasefire. I explain here why.

GAZAWOOD - the PALLYWOOD saga
Flashback: Hamas terrorist needs to cross open ground without getting shot by the IDF. Solution: He grabs a Palestinian kid, holds him tight, and sprints forward using the child as a living shield. Once he reaches a crowded area packed with more kids.
GAZAWOOD - the PALLYWOOD saga@GAZAWOOD1

Flashback: A 14-year-old Palestinian boy was paid 100 shekels by Fatah’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades to wear a suicide belt and blow himself up next to Jewish women and children. He was caught by IDF forces just before he could detonate it.
