One day we were at the mall and this girl walked past us in gym clothes. This man actually nudged me and said, “Why can’t you dress like that?” I looked down at myself. I WAS wearing gym clothes. Apparently mine were wrong because they were on my body. Then came the comparisons. “She has your face shape.” “She’s your height.” “You could look like that if you tried.” Imagine dating somebody who talks about you like a failed renovation project.

My boyfriend used to swear he “preferred natural girls.” Apparently “natural” meant girls with tiny waists, flat stomachs, perfect skin, and somehow no pores, cellulite, stretch marks, or human organs. Meanwhile I was over here existing in a regular body. At first it started small. He’d scroll through Instagram and randomly say stuff like: “See, she actually takes care of herself.” Or: “You’d look so good if you just toned up a little.” A little. That phrase became his favorite hobby. A little less stomach. A little bigger butt. A little more makeup. A little less makeup because now I was “doing too much.” One day we were at the mall....

It's funny that "died coke" is on here cuz I would feel like I'm dying if I had a sip. Yay, aspartame intolerance!

@LivingInTragedy @foliebrainrot Good question. I like both bands (yeah yeah I know) and recognize that they are VERY different sounds. Plus we gotta consider that even if they got the inspiration from someone else's work, they very clearly put their own flare to it, like all artists tend to do anyways.
