a girl in the gym story ...i got married at 19 to someone in the military. He was stationed overseas and convinced me it was my wifely duty to send him n*des. I wanted to be a good wife and I did. After a couple of years of an abusive relationship I filed for divorce. He then decided to let me know that all the military guys get photos of their wives and girlfriends and show them to each other. Sickening. Fast forward twenty years and I’m on a date last week with someone who was in the military before..

The whole “omg panty lines” thing has always felt ridiculous to me. Women are human beings, not plastic mannequins airbrushed into existence. If seeing the outline of underwear ruins your day, you might need bigger problems. 😭

At the bar. A man got up to do karaoke and said, “this is dedicated to the beautiful woman at the back table, she said if I sang well enough, she would give me her phone number!”
He has the whole bar singing with him, working hard for that number. Turns out, they are married. He sang one of their wedding songs.

Fake urgency/demand. I dont need to do everything at fast pace. They'll be alight! I walk, talk, eat, respond and dress slower and I've never felt more at peace.
