We need feminism because when I was in 3rd grade a boy threw sand in my eyes on the playground and the school nurse told me he had a crush on me. He never got in trouble. Later that year an older boy in the neighborhood pulled me into his dad’s car ,nd wouldn’t let me out until I kissed him. In 5th grade at the skating rink, a man over 50 asked my friend Katie to sit on his lap after watching us skate for several hours... When I was 13 a line cook in his 30s demanded I give him my phone number. He got MORE persistent after my aunt told him I was only 13 and he watched me from the kitchen as I ate pancakes. Women have been objectified nd expected to deal with men’s behavior since childhood with no ramifications towards our offenders. Every woman has stories for sure ,similar to mine and likely worse.

Remember that flashback scene in The Handmaid's Tale when all of the women suddenly don't have access to their money and are summarily fired? It feels insane, and Now understand that trans people in Kansas just woke up and no longer have their ID. No way to drive, no way to vote, no way to prove who they are. That happening in America should feel just as insane.

A woman’s common career track: unfortunately... 20s- sexual harassment 30s- pregnancy/mom discrimination 40s- unequal pay >50s - ageism Women should feel really proud of succeeding and excelling despite so many obstacles men don’t have to face.

I just posted a story about a woman who was fired for bleeding onto her office chair during a heavy period. A man then came into my comments demanding “the other side of the story”. You want to hear from the chair, bro..?

It takes two people to create a baby... but it was MY bones that made his, it was MY body that stretched. It was MY blood giving him nutrients. it was OUR hearts beating together. It was MY body that created every detail of HIM. So tell me again why you would ever even think I play about how my child is treated...? “Marriage is the most sacred relationship on earth.” No. Motherhood is.

Adoption is not an alternative to abortion. Adoption is deciding you don’t want to be a PARENT. Abortion is deciding you don’t want to be PREGNANT. Hope this helps.

It was a men who engineered that ship. It was men who decided to cut corners. To short the welds..it was men who decided that they wouldn’t supply enough life rafts to hold everyone, and It was men who ignored nine separate warnings that they were drifting into a massive ice field. Why do men like you always play the victim to situations that men create?

73% of women on the Titanic survived. Only 19% of men did. That wasn't equality. That was men accepting situation so women and children could live. Modern people mock masculinity… while standing on the graves of men who practiced it.

what’s wild about the Gabby Petito story is she not only told the cops he was abusing her and exhibited ALL signs of being abused, but unlike most other DV victims, and a random stranger called it in, too. A *stranger* called 911. nd yet the Moab cops still assisted her abuser, not her. That’s the most insane thing to me. She had witnesses. Most abuse happens behind closed doors. Even with *witnesses* women are still not believed.

Finding out cold plunges aren’t actually that good for women because they spike our cortisol… and all those ‘benefits’ were based on studies done on men. Love that for us..

listening to my bf on the phone with HR about a male employee who has been sexually harassing young women at work and he’s saying, “He is preying on vulnerable women and I don’t want him in my building.” nd “My job is to create a safe workplace where every employee and this isn’t meeting that criteria.” nd “I cannot emphasize enough that no man in our company should be allowed to make a woman feel uncomfortable about coming to work” and he’s never been hotter!

Baby daddies shouldn't be put on child support when they don't take care of their kids. They should be charged with child neglect because that's what WE would be charged with if we woke up one day and decided we didn't want to be a MOTHER or take care of our kids.

One of the best managers you can have in the corporate world is often a working mom... They tend to lead with empathy, value efficiency over micromanagement, and understand that life exists beyond work always. Their ability to balance multiple responsibilities often makes them thoughtful, grounded leaders.

The next time u dislike your life, remember it's all about perspective. I got a friend who reads 2-3 books a week, works out twice a day, has no financial worries, & has people who want to have sex with him all the time & yet he constantly complains about how much he hates prison..
