Here is the brief but brutal history of what happened in 1952, and why the "Guillotine/Gallows" of Githunguri is a symbol of Kenya's hijacked sovereignty: The Intellectual Seedbed (Why Githunguri?) Before 1952, Githunguri was not just a town; it was the intellectual and financial headquarters of the African resistance. It was the site of the Kenya Teachers College (run by Mbiyu Koinange and Jomo Kenyatta). It was where independent African schools were headquartered, teaching Kenyans how to reject colonial brainwashing and organize economically. The British colonial government recognized Githunguri as the "ideological seedbed" of the Mau Mau revolution. The Architecture of Psychological Warfare (1952) When the State of Emergency was declared in October 1952, the British didn't just arrest the leaders. They launched a psychological war. They violently seized the Githunguri college, shut down the schools, and intentionally turned the campus into a colonial court and an execution ground. They built the gallows (the "guillotine" Mwabili refers to) right on the grounds where Kenyans used to seek education. The message was brutal: If you try to educate yourselves or claim your land, we will hang you exactly where you tried to learn. The British officially hanged over 1,090 Kenyans during the Emergency; Githunguri was one of the prime massacre sites for those 54 martyrs. From Colonizer to Contractor This brings us exactly to the current crisis and defying active High court orders. The colonial government killed those 54 Hustlers to protect the "White Highlands". 70 years later, the modern Kenyan state and its private contractors are defying a High Court orders, sending goons in unmarked cars, and attempting to bulldoze those exact same graves and the gallows. Why? For prime commercial real estate. The extraction system didn't disappear in 1963; it just changed skin color.

Look at Karen Nyamu dressed up in orange beads and a headband at KICC, being bestowed the title of Nyakinyua. A Nyakinyua is no cheap political handout. She is a revered elder who has lived with dignity: her children fully grown, circumcised and properly married into stable homes. So tell me, you fools who performed this farce which of Karen Nyamu’s children meet that standard? Her kids come from multiple baby daddies, including two with the married Mugithi singer, Samidoh; a very public entanglement that helped fracture another woman’s home. She is openly known as a homewrecker and a loose woman who built her name on messy affairs with taken men. Is that the character of a Nyakinyua? A woman whose life screams broken homes, instability and total disregard for the very cultural values she now pretends to represent? This is not honoring Kikuyu heritage. This is mocking it. This is dragging it through the mud for votes and clout. You useless elders have cheapened the real Nyakinyua women, those who earned respect through sacrifice, discipline and building strong families, not tearing them apart. It is disgusting.
