#WATCH | Dehradun, Uttarakhand: A communal violence incident erupted late yesterday evening in Bairagiwala village under the Sahaspur police station area of Dehradun district over a dispute related to water. Police have registered a case against three named accused and 25 unidentified individuals in connection with the incident. The situation in the village has remained tense since the clash as an angry mob allegedly first pelted stones at the houses of the accused and later set one of the houses on fire. Police personnel are deployed in the area and are monitoring the situation to prevent any further escalation.

BJP leader Vinod Kashyap lynched by Muslims in Dehradun. The clash started when Kashyap and his family members went to irrigate their fields. A group of Muslims led by Imtiyaz Ali arrived at the spot and attacked them with rods, hammers and sharp weapons. Kashyap succumbed to his wounds, while 3 of his relatives were hospitalised in critical condition. CCTV footage of the attack shows the brutal assault took place in the presence of terrified Hindu children. The house of the main accused has been bulldozed.

A magnificent 1.5 kg gold-plated Kalash (pinnacle), valued at over ₹2.5 crore, has been successfully installed atop the historic Ambabai Temple in Kolhapur. The golden pinnacle, generously donated by former Goa Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane, was mounted over the original 200 kg, 13.5-foot-tall copper base. The installation process began late Thursday night and was completed by 7:30 AM on Friday to perfectly coincide with the highly auspicious combination of the Goddess's dedicated day and the holy 'Adhik Maas'.
