@Lizquidity I think for a lot of zoomers the answer is probably mostly not trauma but other stuff unless you really stretch the definition of trauma

i was like this much of my life, and even thought it must just be asexuality for most of that time. but the real answer was trauma. it’s often just trauma, and it doesn’t get any better until you can stand the pain to look at it and accept it for what it is, so you can move on. this isn’t an easy thing to do, and i’ve been in a way quite fortunate that i had 500 pages of court records to reflect upon from when i was very little that gave me hints on which strings to tug on. even so, it has taken until very recently to even start trying. some people never feel ready enough to, and you really never are ready to. you become ready by doing it and showing yourself your resilience.

@liz_love_lace I think a lot more schooling should be like this. Everyone knows that 1 on 1 tutoring is way more efficient and you already have a captive class of teachers (students) at your disposal

Back in school we had a "reverse day" where some of the high schoolers would teach the younger kids, and I loved it. The teachers didn't care about the class, so it was essentially you ranting about anything to a captive (and captivated) audience. It was my twitter
