Gaelic Football Practice 🏐 Turn and Deliver- with Voiceover by @CiDeely Ciaran Deely focuses on scanning with the ball- where players receive and need to look forward for a pass inside. It’s working on vision, being comfortable on the ball, and accurate kick passing in Gaelic football. The attacking players have to work as an effective unit to break down the defence; while the defending team must keep out the score in a 5v5 or 6v6 situation. Thanks to Kevin Beasley @metabolise for last week’s members Webinar. "Carbohydrates Intake for Team Sports - Practical Guidelines." 🥗 Short clip below on what we should be doing at half time ⬇️ The focus was on carbohydrates as an energy source, and Kevin explained this but also showed graphics of the breakdown of different plates of Carbs, Fats and Proteins to be used during different stages of the training/playing week. He broke down what to eat and when during ➡️ Training Days ➡️ Post Training Days ➡️ Game Day (pre match, half-time, and post-match) He discussed snacking, when it was OK to eat processed food and the importance of eating the correct food types the next day. Kevin also spoke about the difference between principles of nutrition for children versus adults. This was a hugely informative Webinar. Full video released now at dsscoaching.ie
