You don’t see that on any parish/district/town event promotion. All you get is ‘free parking’. This change costs nothing, but shows leadership.

The difference between the net zero ambitions/achievements of Leicester (city) and Leicestershire (county) are so stark. Today the city announced a switch to electric buses and the launch of the free eBike scheme. In the county, all we hearing about is cuts to bus services.

Interesting to see more context and ambition from the county council around walking and cycling. Messaging needs to be more about creating quieter safer healthier streets, towns and villages. Active travel being a key enabler of that.
