I don't need stand-ups, sprints, retrospectives, or a scrum master. I need good communication, frequent delivery, iteration based on feedback, and a leader that assures this stuff happens. I don’t need Scrum’s mandatory ceremony to do these things.

I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease (FLD) in 2021 after my liver enzymes were 3X the normal amount. An ultrasound confirmed and diagnosis since they found a small fat nodule on the outside of my liver. FLD is common in Hispanic males, so I have that going for me. A side effect with the extra fat on the liver, is higher blood sugar levels. Something that I’ve been trying to address for a while now since my fasting glucose levels were above the normal ranges. After a few “experiments “, I discovered that the biggest factor for keeping all the numbers in check as regular exercise. My diet is not too crazy since I also deal with my stomach issues. Also, quitting drinking has helped with everything else. I am glad to be back at normal range for fasting glucose, so I’m glad I ran my experiment. Specially, since I am also at a higher risk for being a type 2 diabetic. Getting older is turning to be a pretty epic adventure! 🫠
