i know i've tweeted this thousands of times but every time i hear the oilers goal horn i can't help but think that it's the same exact music that would be playing in a predominantly gay nightclub in the Philippines and then you go in there and everyone is wearing fishnets and has lollipops in their mouths. And then you and your boys are like fuck idk this is a little too intense for us but then you're buddy that is bicurious (used to play a lot of lacrosse) is like no this place is a vibe lets get 1 drink here, then you're like fine lets do it and then you end up running into a cool group of australian dudes that offer you molly and you're like nah i shouldn't but then you end up doing it and partying til 8 in the morning and then one of the australian guys tries to kiss you and you're like nah bro i dont swing that way but you guys are cool dudes though I had a great time, and then they are like wait if you're not gay then why are you here? and you're like idk my buddy played lacrosse growing up so he just liked the energy in here and they're like oh ok well so-long mate it was nice meeting you and you're like yeah you guys are awesome then you go back to your hotel and thats it

If you are a hockey parent and your son or your daughter has a hope or a dream of playing high level hockey, I'm going to give you one piece of advice:
Do not be overly critical, loud, and negative in the stands because we as recruiters and scouts are watching.
One of the worst things that happens for us is going to a game and watching a kid that we really, really like…
But there's this parent in the stands that's yelling at the ref or yelling at the coaches, or God forbid they're yelling at another kid.
We're going to go down and talk to that coach after the game and pray that the parent we saw wasn’t the one of the kid that we really liked on the ice.
Because if you're a problem parent in youth hockey, there's a good chance that you're going to be a problem parent at high level hockey as well.
And maybe not overtly communicating to us, but certainly filling your kid with negativity and excuses if things don't go their way.
So be positive and encouraging in the stands. If you're negative and you're loud, then there's a really good chance we're not going to recruit your kid.
