@Confluence I want to find ways to get back to the unbridled creativity of thought - what my 5 year old displays every moment. We are working on writing a children’s book together.
@Confluence Fill emotional fuel tanks - engage with the person, not just the work. Remember that in a remote setting everything we do is intentional. Create moments which build relationships. Most people would rather work with someone that cares about them and not just the output.
@Confluence So being able to understand how much time you are going to spend on something, move it forward and leave it in a place where you can quickly pick it up again seems more useful. (2/2)
@Confluence People say don’t multi-task. I disagree. Multi-tasking isn’t bad. It’s more about being selective with your efforts and time. There’s also the concept that you may not be able to complete one thing all the way through (you need insights, data, etc.). (1/2)
@Confluence Ship early. Ship often. Getting feedback and iterating early is waaaay better than waiting for it to be perfect as it never will be. Sometimes getting thoughts out of your brain at 50% and sharing is actually better than waiting for it to be at 100%.
