The next decade will be defined not by the intelligence you buy but by the context you create. #AtlassianTeam26

Jira is now the home base where developers and AI agents work side-by-side. 🤝 Assign a task, and Rovo Dev pulls context from your specs, writes the code, runs tests, and opens the PR—all on one board. This is agentic SDLC, finally connected.

@declanmartin75 Feels like a quick Loom with some added context could clear this up. 🤭

Atlassian is becoming the context layer for your business. The formula: Information in. Intelligence out. 🤝 Connectors In: Pull signals from your entire toolchain. 🧠 The Graph: Data is mapped into the Teamwork Graph and compounds daily. 🔄 Context Out: Through our MCP server, that intelligence is pushed to whatever AI your teams already use.

@aprabhakar_ Experimentation is how all technology gets it's start. What an amazing team-wide mindset shift. 💪

The teams pulling ahead right now are changing how they work and experimenting relentlessly. @Atlassian’s Rovo Growth team is a great example. In just six months, they ran 40+ product experiments and shipped 80% of them (more than double the ~30% industry average). That came from rewiring the way they work: tools like Cursor for rapid prototyping and AI bridging the gap between product and engineering so ideas move from concept to live in a fraction of the time. But speed didn’t replace rigor. The team only shipped experiments that produced a statistically significant lift on pre-set metrics for our customers. The takeaway: when experimentation is built into how you work, this is the kind of impact that follows.

The new Agent Sessions view in Jira gives you one place to manage agents running concurrently: 🔹 Spot and mitigate blockers instantly. 🔹 Approve or redirect agents without leaving the tab. 🔹 Delegate and decide like only a human can.

We’re working hard to make sure the @Atlassian Teamwork Graph is the best context graph for any organisation’s entire knowledge, work, people, code, physical assets and more. No matter where they’re stored, their permissions or their scale. It is truly phenomenal and results in simply better AI performance - faster responses, higher quality answers and less tokens. But it needs to be understood by end users. It’s incredibly conceptual. It needs to be visualised and brought in to physical form. When people get it, they _really_ get it. The design team did a spectacular job at that task. Making the abstract knowable. And we’re only just getting started. 👏🏻👊🏻

Recently wrapped on a project creating a visual expression for the Teamwork Graph. As part of this work we launched an online experience where Atlassian users can log in and preview their own graph. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at my favourite details from the project. 1/14

@SlackHQ Just mention @Jira in any @SlackHQ channel: @Jira create a bug for the login timeout discussed above. It creates the structured work item without you ever leaving the conversation.

"We should create a ticket for that." The most expensive sentence in engineering. Not because work items are hard to manage, but because the "context tax" of moving a @SlackHQ conversation into Jira is a productivity killer. 🧵

Six months ago this was a bet. Today it's more than a million people using it every month and 5M+ tool calls every working day. I've spent the last half-year leading much of the reliability, scale, and cost work behind this, and that headline number really undersells what went into it. We rebuilt the engine while it was flying, kept it fast and reliable as usage took off, and made sure customers never felt a thing. Plenty of quiet late nights and careful, staged rollouts got us here. None of it was a solo act. Huge shout-out to the @Atlassian Rovo MCP team and our partner product teams, one of the sharpest groups I've worked with. This is your win too. This post is the what. My team is writing up the how: an engineering blog on scaling it behind the scenes. Keep an eye out, it's coming soon. atlassian.com/blog/company-n…

I love the fact that @Atlassian has been pushing opening up our ecosystem and data. I recently joined the team who are building teamworkgraph.com and the twg cli. Its great to see how passionate @vkawadia is to get agents to be able to do everything users can do.

5M+ daily agent actions. 1M+ monthly active users. We launched the Atlassian Rovo MCP Server to give agents like @Claude, @ChatGPTapp, and @Cursor direct access to team context. Here’s what we’ve learned about the future of AI at work since... 🧵
