@mule65

Mules are stubborn animals. It is very difficult to get them to do much of anything.

@cvpayne is one of the greats on Wall Street. Not just because he is talented and successful but also because he is a genuine and wonderful person. Always an honor to be on his show.
Brian Sozzi@BrianSozzi

I remember somehow landing an interview to be an associate analyst with @cvpayne before I graduated from a small local college with a business degree. I had no contacts on Wall Street. I was ill-prepared for the career I wanted to pursue. I didnโ€™t even own a suit! I knew absolutely nothing about investing or business. What I did have was $40,000 in student loan debt that wasnโ€™t going to pay itself back and not much in the oleโ€™ savings account. So with a $100 suit I picked up from Marshalls, yellow Polo tie and $40 Banana Republic Outlet loafers (I thought this was the look) I walked into Charlesโ€™ boardroom in an office about 100 yards from the iconic New York Stock Exchange. I had no fallback option. It was this job or I was going back to being a golf caddy. I think Charles knew I was as green as a head of broccoli and knew I would require massive training. I vividly remember what I told him before I left a real shaky interview performance: โ€œI really need this job, I promise I will never disappoint you.โ€ A few days later I got the call to join Charlesโ€™ firm, where I worked as a stock analyst for 10 years. 23 years after that job interview, we both reunited in a new episode of my Opening Bid Unfiltered podcast (below) on @YahooFinance at the @Nasdaq. Charles, thank you for opening that door to the very definition of a 21-year old rookie. ๐Ÿ“ˆYahoo Finance: finance.yahoo.com/video/charles-โ€ฆ ๐ŸŽ™๏ธSpotify: open.spotify.com/episode/6iUrKwโ€ฆ ๐ŸŽงApple Music: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/chaโ€ฆ ๐ŸŽตAmazon: music.amazon.com/podcasts/7b6ddโ€ฆ

Spent about an hour talking to my father in law about the portfolio on Tastytrade today. When I got to the Amazon position, I walked him through my thought process behind wanting to make $5M on the stock but choosing to sell the $25k shares. Showed him the short puts and explained all the gimmies and gotchas. He was like just sell a shit load more of those puts and get the $5M in the most comfortable way possible. โ€œMaking lots of $ with little stress as possible is the goal. If something makes you less $, but also causes little to no stress, then itโ€™s ultimately more valuable to you!โ€ That was the big takeaway for me today. Love the talks with the most successful man I know :)

Hunter Haight is the only Black Ace skating with the big club during the optional. So theoretically, looks like heโ€™ll be part of the team going forward. No Zuccarello or Trenin during optional at least. Hynes talks soon

The Wheel Strategy is very simple at its core. Find a stock you want to own and can afford at least 100 shares. Decide on a price that is fair market value for you based on your own research. Sell a put. Get paid a premium for agreeing to buy shares at a discount to the current market price. Rinse and Repeat over and over until assigned the shares at the price you want to own the stock Once assigned you sell a covered call at a price youโ€™re comfortable selling the shares for a profit. Rinse and repeat over and over until shares are called away. Once complete you assess what just happened. You got paid for agreeing to buy the shares at a discount and agreeing to sell the shares at a profit. Congrats on the win. Start over on the same stock or move onto another setup that makes dollars and sense to you. Run your own race!!

I hope you guys took appropriate measures and are rocking with super high conviction stocks only. Stocks donโ€™t just go up. The time to remedy the situation was when everything was in the crapper. When things are super peachy and creamy, youโ€™re not likely to make any major moves.

@HighYieldHustle You keep pushing $BLOX even when the total returns have been disastrous. Donโ€™t come within the โ€œit has hold value more than Bitcoinโ€. Is either youโ€™re sponsored by them or you donโ€™t take total returns into consideration. $BLOX is trash.

The main downsides of $QQQI: it uses an options overlay (selling calls on Nasdaq-100) that caps upside in strong bull markets, so it often lags plain $QQQ during big tech rallies. Still carries full Nasdaq/tech volatility and drawdown riskโ€”can drop sharply in corrections. Newer fund (incepted Jan '24) with unproven long-term performance in all cycles. Distributions are high but can include return of capital, and fees are 0.68%. Not a set-it-and-forget-it income play.

$QQQI is one of my favorite monthly dividend ETFs and a powerful income generator for my portfolio. ๐Ÿ’ฐ While growth is the engine, adding strategic income plays helps supplement those gains and provides a steady cash flow. Why $QQQI is a top-tier choice: โžก๏ธ High Monthly Income: Targeted distribution rate of 14%+ โžก๏ธ Tax Efficiency: Utilizes Section 1256 contracts and tax-loss harvesting โžก๏ธ Tech-Focused Upside: Capture Nasdaq-100 growth and benefit from tech rallies while getting paid. Consistent income. Tax-optimized. Monthly compounding. ๐Ÿ“ˆ I prioritize a solid foundation with core growth like $QQQ, then layer in $QQQI to build a steady income stream that compounds as I reinvest every monthly distribution. Who else is using $QQQI to boost their monthly cash flow? What are your go-to income ETFs? ๐Ÿ‘‡
