@quantaxtrep @hastyttv I do love Showdown, but having certain moves like sleep moves be removed is what I dislike the most. If Champions allows things completely, it helps the meta grow and evolve and find ways to build teams for new discovered threats. Taking things away only makes stale gameplay imo

Champions is enjoyable because if I want to tweak my team in any way, I don’t need to grind for materials for TMs, vitamins, or berries to change movesets and EVs, I can simply……make the changes…….

@SukaruAnow @GambelerQuail I think there’s a reason that the image that recently sparked this discussion mentions a female teacher. There is a significant overlap between right wingers who have deep-seated issues with women and right wingers who felt maligned by their teachers as kids.

Also, important to note teachers being female may affect the problem, but that doesnt mean that its the core problem, or that the solution is no women

We agree public school is bad, they think it’s because their female teachers were individually evil, I think it’s because it’s underfunded and deprioritized. Anybody can identify an issue, I dismiss their conclusion.

@RayGunEtiquette Yeah nobody disagrees that public school sucks and many teachers are unqualified. It’s pathetic to hold that resentment and project it onto others in your life. Most everyone was in public school, many were mistreated, few openly salivate at the idea of killing their teacher.

The funniest thing about the whole "guys are just bitter about their school experiences" discourse is everyone for the past 20-30 years unanimously agreed that school was a living hell, but because guys are being more open about it, NOW its suddenly an issue.
