As an update, unfortunately I didn’t make it back before he passed earlier tonight. I’m OK & we knew this was coming. It just took a sudden turn; honestly, he probably would not have known I was there. As I said before, it sucks but a quick passing was probably for the best.

Plans change quickly. I should have seen this coming, but Dad took a quick turn. I didn’t keep my dress blues ready. There is time to fix the rank, wings, etc & get it dry cleaned when I get there. At least I found most of it. The airline is very gracious about this stuff. They pay me for the trip I’m dropping & book me positive space tickets.

See @Eric_M_Murphy, not everything is turning and turning in the widening gyre. In one way, the world is healing itself.
