@BBCNews We “should not be”. But we are. We live on planet earth and are affected by events on planet earth. The problem we have is that Starmer is incapable of navigating the nation through international turbulence.

The two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran today is welcomed by the UK and our allies. The goal now must be a lasting end to the war. Alongside our international partners, the UK will work to ensure a return to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

@BBCBreaking This man loves a ceasefire but has little to no interest in or ideas about how to solve the underlying problem that caused the conflict in the first place. Does he have anything to say about how to prevent Iran getting their hands on a nuclear weapon?

@JuliaHB1 How will we all feel if politicians continue doing nothing useful and we wake up one day to find Iran has a nuclear weapon?

I support the US and Israel's actions to destroy the threat posed by the Iranian regime's nuclear potential and ballistic missiles but Trump's increasingly crazy threats undermine the legitimacy of the strikes on Iran - and risk escalating the conflict to a full Middle East war that could cause mass deaths, political chaos in the region and a global recession. It's doubtful his threats will deter the Islamo-fascist lunatics in Tehran. Trump is out of control. Steadier heads in the White House need to act now before it's too late.
The Washington Post@washingtonpost

President Trump threatened to wipe out “a whole civilization” if Iran’s leaders don’t open the Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday night, prompting Iran to call off talks. Trump’s political opponents questioned his fitness and called for his removal from office. wapo.st/4cgoH5D

We keep hearing about these AIs being too dangerous. I remember a guy from Google saying their AI was too dangerous and that was before Chat GPT was around. It feels like hype to me. Yes they are impressive but this idea that they are anywhere close to being actually intelligent is absurd

@HarryHJDM @hegsadh @randomfoxears @EU_Commission What happens if there is a shortage of firefighters? If people choose not to go into that profession and suddenly we have no firefighters? Should we enslave people and force them to work as firefighters to ensure your ‘human right’ to firefighting is met?

@hegsadh @randomfoxears @rob9356 @EU_Commission Hey, Your house isn’t a human. The police have to protect you from violence as it’s ur human right. Which is their obligation. Same goes for the fire brigade. It’s a human right to live and the fire brigade is obligated to serve it. You can sue if they put ur life at risk

If this was in the UK it would only get planning permission if a) two floors were dedicated homes for fire wardens; b) it was a new spy station next to the MoD for the Chinese; or c) the entire structure was designed to save the lives of an estimated two dozen carp

@YvetteCooperMP Why do we always have to get involved in the internal affairs of other nations that pose no threat to us? Israel is an ally. Can’t we just leave the friendly nations of the world to their own affairs? I know the foreign office needs to deal with foreign affairs but c’mon.
