Just finished reading @SamDalrymple123's extraordinary new book, Shattered Land: The Five Partitions of India 1931-1971, which he completed yesterday evening after five years work. Of course no father can ever judge their son's work objectively, but I have to say it reads like a flat out masterpiece to me.
