My son died. I know he didn't contribute anything to mankind — he was only two months old — but I like to believe he was destined to do something good for humanity. It's been a while since his death, and I hate to dwell on it so publicly, but I wanted you to know him.

On my walk to work today I saw goldfinches, greenfinches, house sparrow, hedge sparrow, blue tit, great tit, jackdaws, blackbirds and a robin all collecting material for nests. The world is a mess, but Spring is a thing of wonder.

@LlJuju2022 I had regular smear tests with no problem until the nurse doing it said "Wow, you're really big, aren't you?" I wasn't, I was just relaxed for the procedure. I was mortified. Every one after was a nightmare of tension, pain, and bleeding.

I was crying very hard & both my cats came into the room & sat there & stared at me. no cuddles, no proximity to my body. just stares. were they concerned, fascinated, curious, disgusted? no way to tell. but it was so weird I stopped crying.
