Replace gas heating and A/C units with a heat pump (which does both heating and cooling in one unit) 3. Replace a gas hot water heater with a heat pump hot water heater (or tankless electric) 4. Replace a gas stove with an electric stove 5. Replace a gas clothes dryer with an electric dryer (a heat pump one preferably) 6. Replace a gas lawn mower, weed whacker and leaf blower with electric ones 7. Replace a gas grill with an electric grill 8. If you have a house built new, make it all-electric (no gas line; heat pump; 14-50 outlet for each garage car bay) 9. If you can afford to, put solar panels on your home’s roof. If your HOA does not allow for it, buy community solar 10. Fly less (until we have electric or emission-free flights) 11. Use reusable biodegradable cloth, such as canvas, bags at the grocery store Go all-electric! Reduce plastic consumption. Be done with fossil fuels! We all have a responsibility. You say that like it makes you look smart 😂 It makes you a moron. Ultimately the sun. It comes from the grid, which is already a mix of much less than 100% fossil fuels. And we can and are greening up the grid all the time — most new capacity comes from solar. And all Tesla Supercharger miles sold since inception have been covered by solar. And even if the grid was 100% from fossil fuels, EVs would STILL be better because they are vastly more efficient. 70% of all gas in a gas car is completely wasted - doesn’t even go to turn the wheels. And newer batteries from readily available iron and salt. No need for rare earths anymore. On and on. We’re moving to what’s better. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be better. And it’s much better. And if/when we improve on that, we’ll move to that. Burning gas straight in a vehicle is never going to survive
