I’ve been quiet on here for a while and I just wanted to let you guys know why. The last 2 years has been the lowest point in my life. I’ve struggled with PTSD, depression, and you fuckin name it. At times I didn’t think I would win this fight, nor did I want to. I’m still struggling but finding a new purpose in training our K9 Unit has filled a void for me. The joy I get from watching these dogs transform from green dogs to obedient and well trained bad asses entrusted with saving the lives of my officers is hard to explain. I’ve went my whole life being trained and told that mental health was just a coward’s way out. That’s how it was in the military and in LE up until a few years ago. So naturally, I’ve isolated myself in an attempt to deal with my own shit. I know now that is not the right way but it’s my way. The purpose of this message is to let you guys know that I’m ok and back on path to being myself again. Also to let you guys know that mental health is fuckin real! The traumas we see in both the military and LE can and will break even strongest people out there if you let them. Reach out for help if you need it. Check on your friends and loved ones. There are plenty more people like me who suffer silently and you won’t know unless you persistently check on them. Take care of each other!

What the video doesn't show is that the student slapped or punched a teacher multiple times. Once escorted out, the student continued to attack the staff and this is what happened. It is with deep sorrow the Oklahoma Highway Patrol announces the line of duty death of Trooper Vernon Brake. On April 8, 2026, at 11:27 a.m., a vehicle traveling southbound on I-35 lost control for an unknown reason and crossed the center cable barrier. The vehicle struck Trooper Brake, who was traveling in the northbound lanes just south of Hefner Road in Oklahoma City. Trooper Brake was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other involved vehicle, along with a four-year-old passenger, were also pronounced deceased at the scene. Trooper Brake was a graduate of the 56th OHP Academy in 2006 and has proudly served the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for nearly 20 years, with a significant amount of time assigned to Troop S (commercial motor vehicle enforcement). After his graduation from the academy, he also served in Oklahoma and Logan Counties. Trooper Brake is survived by his wife and two children. Our prayers and deepest sympathies are with his family as well as the family of the other driver involved. 🙏

RIP. Tennessee Deputy Sheriff Landon Faulkner succumbed to injuries sustained in a crash from three days before, on State Highway 111 near the intersection of Lewis Chapel Road. At approximately 9:30 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, April 8, Deputy Faulker's patrol car struck the back of a disabled truck on the left side of the highway. He was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital, where he remained in critical condition until passing on Saturday, April 11. Deputy Faulkner, 24, had served with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office for three years and had previously served as a deputy and a corrections deputy with Grundy County. 🖤🙏💙🙏🖤
