This is nothing, a very common event in patients with severe alcohol use disorder and dependency. Alcohol-related dangers go far beyond the person. I had the wife of a patient with alcohol-related cirrhosis and severe alcohol dependency who secretly suggested (pleaded) that I provide only best supportive care for severe alcohol-related hepatitis (on which he was sure to die) because he used to s**ually ab*se their 8 year old daugther when he was drunk.

Strangers will go out of their way to help you… while the system around them barely works.
I came from Bandra to Navi Mumbai International Airport in 92 minutes and somehow still left liking the city more.
This shouldn’t happen.

@TheophanesRex This is not just in Canada, but also in USA and this is because of the healthcare system designed in India. It is very very decentralized in a sense. You have many smaller medium healthcare centres with such facilities plus the technician cost to operate is much lower.

My friend is visiting India & needed MRI.
It was available on a walk in basis. Report given in 3 hours. Cost Rupees 7,700 (about C$110).
Another patient (local) was on some government assistance program & paid Rupees 2,200 (C$32).
