@sotirissays Good things happen broadly when individuals pursue their own good in an honest way.

I just bought a nice big cast iron skillet. Now I’m going to become that “cook everything in a skillet” guy, aren’t I?

@ClaudesBBQ If you pan fry and the toss with red hot and butter they're actually pretty good. So I've been told. I haven't actually tried this Buffalo cod stick monstrosity in my own kitchen. Nope, definitely not.

@gov_fails I'd say it was a train wreck, but they haven't actually laid enough track for a train to wreck on yet.

@GamewithDave Movies were generally better. Going to the movies was much more of a thing. Also, obviously, everything was much less expensive and you could generally afford things regardless of class.

@stephenituruka It's been theorized that it's actually the cause of civilization. Fermentation can be done in a nomadic lifestyle, but not consistently or in large quantities. That requires agriculture and permanent settlements.

@DragonShadows4 @ChefGruel This one is at least a plausible (or very lucky) guess if he's referring to Persian Limes. Though honestly he probably has no idea there are different lime varieties.

@ChefGruel I have a carbon steel round bottom wok that I absolutely love, and am fortunate enough to have a gas stove with enough power to use it properly. My flipping technique still needs some work though.

Carbon steel heats really fast, builds a natural nonstick, and needs regular care. Stainless steel is much lower maintenance, sticks (on purpose), and is best for searing and pan sauces. Carbon steel gets better with age. Carbon steel is mostly iron and stainless steel is mixed metals which is why it doesn't hold heat as well.
Sarcasm as a Service@SaaS_Veritas

@ChefGruel What's the difference between a carbon steel pan and a stainless steel pan?
