OTTAWA — A new poll has found that 89% of Canadians believe Donald Trump is to blame for Canada’s struggling economy, citing everything from rising grocery prices to housing costs and general financial anxiety.
How, exactly, Trump is responsible remains unclear.
“It’s complicated,” one respondent said. “But every time something feels off, he seems like a safe bet.”
The survey found strong consensus across demographics, with many Canadians expressing confidence in their conclusion despite being unable to point to a direct connection.
“I don’t follow all the details,” another participant admitted. “But it just feels related.”
Meanwhile, when asked about their own biggest financial concerns, respondents pointed to inflation, taxes, housing affordability, and stagnant wages—issues largely tied to domestic policy.
Analysts say the results reflect a growing tendency to assign complex problems to simple, external causes.
“It’s easier,” one observer noted. “You don’t have to rethink anything—you just have to agree on who to blame.”
Because when the economy gets harder to explain,
the explanation doesn’t get more accurate—
It just gets louder.

@cbcwatcher Canada is fucked until the liberal media - that is supported by tax payers dollars - is eliminated. @CTV is killing Canada.
English

UNREAL! Carney drops a fresh 10 minute infomercial... and CTV airs it straight, no edits, no pushback, no fact-checking
Congrats, CTV: you've officially graduated from journalism to government stenographer
His "forward guidance" was a legendary disaster
Since jumping into politics, Carney has dodged Canadian media and real hard interviews like they're radioactive. This isn't outreach,,, it's a carefully staged propaganda rollout
So far, it's been little more than jet-setting around the globe signing flashy MOUs while the bureaucracy keeps swelling
He's basically Trudeau 2.0: all photo-ops, bigger deficits, and the same habit of spending like there's no tomorrow (because the bill lands on someone else's kids... Carney's kids live in the US)
And this media-relayed victory lap? It's just getting started
And of course, CTV brings in Scott Reid, whose son works for Carney, to say how great it was! 🤦♂️

@ryangerritsen Until Canadians wake-up and stop their tax dollars going to @CBC and their liberal biases, Canadians don't have a chance at improving anything.
English

This is pure comedy.
Mark Carney, who made all of his money outside of Canada with most of his money invested in America and hasn't lived here for years, is using a figurine given to him by Mike Myers who made all of his money in the US and lives in the US, to warn Canadians against the threat of America.
English

I have to say, Mark Carney's address to Canadians is unbecoming, despicable fear mongering, and full of lies.
It is pure anti-America propaganda to stoke more TDS and bs for the uninformed to cover up for the fact that over the past year he has failed to deliver all but record deficits and MOUs.
Let's remember, Mark Carney:
> went to school in the US
> his kid/s went/go to school and live in the US
> his wife lives in the US
> moved Brookfield's HQ to the US
> majority of his investments are in the US
The US is good for him and his family but not for your's.
Mark Carney is another Liberal boomer that came back to Canada, after making all his money from the US, to tell us how bad America is and how wonderful Canada is which he will leave the first opportunity he has.

It's been four months since President Trump signed an executive order aimed at easing restricting on marijuana... But that hasn't happened yet, leaving both a Democratic congressman and Trump ally Roger Stone, asking questions about the hold-up. @mkraju reports #InsidePolitics

@SatireSquadHQ Canada doesn't have a hope of fixing anything until the biased media that is supported by taxpayer dollars is wiped out.

New: CBC Poll says 96% of seniors see immigration as a net positive despite crime and healthcare strains.
Vancouver — A new CBC poll has found that an overwhelming 96 per cent of Canadians aged 65 and older view immigration as a net positive for the country, even as many express concerns about its impact on public safety and access to care.
The survey of seniors comes as Canada continues to grapple with record population growth driven largely by immigration, which has coincided with soaring housing costs and stretched healthcare systems in major cities.
Eighty-six per cent of respondents cited declining home values as a top concern, with many emphasizing the importance of maintaining property equity built over decades.
“I love the diversity — my cleaner is from the Philippines, my gardener from Mexico,” said one 72-year-old retiree from West Vancouver, who asked not to be named. “Just don’t let anything slow the bidding wars until I flip this place to the next overseas buyer. After that? The kids will figure it out.”
While younger Canadians face skyrocketing rents, stagnant wages and fierce competition for entry-level jobs, seniors largely remain supportive of high immigration levels. Many plan to use rising home equity to fund extended winters in warmer climates like Florida or Europe.
The poll arrives amid growing national debate over whether Canada’s immigration targets align with infrastructure capacity.
Yet for this demographic, the benefits appear to outweigh the strains — at least until the “For Sale” sign goes up.

@niccruzpatane 100%. I have a Model S with 120K miles. Only maintenance was brakes done at 100K. I go thru a lot of tires but no one has beaten me across an intersection in 8 years.
English

Between these 3 Tesla vehicles, it equals about 9 total years of ownership.
Collectively, we’ve spent $0 on maintenance throughout the entirety of ownership, maybe a few bottles of washer fluid, and that’s it.
The savings are great, but avoiding the hassle of oil changes and filling up with gas is so worth it.
Tesla vehicles change your life in many ways, from FSD and software integration to reliability. I could never own a gas car again.
