Ok, having sorted out the tube strike in London this morning, I did promise to sort out the problem with the Strait of Hormuz and here is my plan, which is genius in its simplicity. I’ve costed it out and it’s a bargain. Screwfix sell these hoses which you can join together. I’ve drawn a red line on the map showing where the hose can be laid. They reel out really easily, so are quick to deploy. The oil can then be pumped from one side of the land to the other, thus eliminating the need to sail down the Strait of Hormuz. Safe, cheap, quick and simple. I shall now sit back, enjoy the sunshine and await an award for this.

Trump said Iran is now a "paper tiger" after two weeks of US strikes, and pressed allies to join the Hormuz operation, noting Japan gets 95% of its oil through the strait, China 90%, and South Korea 35%, while the US gets less than 1%. Trump added Putin "does not fear Europe at all" but fears the United States, calling NATO effectively an American institution. Trump also suggested Macron may help on Hormuz but added "we don't need anyone, we are the strongest nation in the world." #US
