I’d press red. I have four kids. If your reading of the scenario is “we are offering the hypothetical only in English and to 3 day old babies who can’t even push buttons” you’re an idiot. Tye scenario necessarily implies the choosers are limited to people *who can understand the choice*.

I don't know about you, but the risk of suddenly dropping dead weighs a lot on my decision making process if it is a possible consequence.

@Takoluka1 @KainYusanagi @Review_bra there is not any metaphorical gun, this is your subjective interpretation. how is "spend half an hour" (to cite one of many differences) easier than pressing a button? im not against donating blood but it is objectively easier to press a button and you're arguing for the opposite

@txnoco @KainYusanagi @Review_bra Look, if you're expecting human selflessness and altruism to suddenly reveal itself at the barrel of a metaphorical gun, when they are unwilling to spend half an hour donating blood at the blood drive in the Walmart parking lot they're already at, then that's a lot of optimism.

It is a situation where it is much easier to pick the blue button. It's a situation where the overwhelming majority should be pushing the blue button because there is 0 risk and only benefit, and we're only at 3%.
