People suffer in the hands of any government because they donโ€™t know how to organize themselves. The organized will rule over the chaos. This is how you take back your country ๐Ÿงต#thread

The truth is that Nigeria would have developed better if we were under the colonial rule till the year 2000. We are incapable of building a decent society for ourselves.

The more you read about Nigeria's history, the more you realize nothing changes. Ahmadu Bello was basically Tafawa's puppet master and that decision to manipulate the first census was the beginning of this mess.

Moreso, is this not the same Alex Otti who told a journalist to โ€œshut upโ€ during an interview when he was questioned about his achievements since assuming office? Also, a point of correction: not all Nigerians see the government as an enemy. I am Nigerian, and I do not see the government as an enemy. Speak for yourself and those who share your opinion, not for over 200 million Nigerians. Making blanket statements such as โ€œNigerians see the government as an enemyโ€ is inaccurate because you are not a data collector and have not presented any evidence to support that claim.

Alex Otti: WE HAVE DONE! Alex Otti: WE HAVE DONE!! Alex Otti: WE HAVE DONE!!! These is called โ€œLEADERSHIPโ€ God bless @alexottiofr โ€œOur goal is to take power into our own hands. In time, Abia will be disconnected from the national grid and enjoy 24-hour electricity supplyโ€ โ€” Governor Alex Otti @CCSoludo @Hope_Uzodimma1 do you know why heโ€™s not stammering is because heโ€™s saying the truth not lies. Oliver De Coque of the blessed memory once said โ€œEzi okwu na-akwu oto, okwu asi na-agba ngoโ€. Why I focus more on @CCSoludo is because he has the highest qualification among all Nigerian governors yet heโ€™s the worst among them all. Iโ€™m expecting Professor Charles Soludo to teach Nigerian politicians how to develop a state. You may think Iโ€™m being too harsh on him but the fact is that if Professor Charles Soludo couldnโ€™t perform better than Dr. Alex Otti at the end he will be a complete failure.

@adesinapelumi_ @Chimacoeche @alexottiofr Nigerians see the government as their enemy, that lack of trust is born from decades of observation. Everyone in the executive or legislative branch automatically inherits that bad will from the people. It is your duty as a leader (if you care) to bridge that gap.

@adesinapelumi_ @Chimacoeche @alexottiofr People are emotional, nothing we can do about that. The governments stance with Nigerians is high handedness, dismissiveness, and condescension. Otti doesnโ€™t present himself like that and they love him for it. Real or not that image is working for him. Others should take note.

@adesinapelumi_ @Chimacoeche @alexottiofr Educate me then, boast about him and what he has done. You canโ€™t be angry that people love a man that is working for his people Other governors are working too, let their people blow their trumpet too. Itโ€™s that simple. Everybody rep your squad.

What metrics are you using to conclude that the other governors are not working? Discussions like this should be based on facts, not assumptions. If youโ€™re making that claim, especially regarding Governor Soludo, kindly provide verifiable data and measurable outcomes to support it. No one is against criticismโ€”in fact, criticism is healthy for democracyโ€”but it should be evidence-based, not a baseless comment. Letโ€™s compare performance using clear indicators such as infrastructure delivery, education, healthcare, security, internally generated revenue, job creation, and ease of doing business. That way, the conversation remains objective and productive.

@MasterMaliq I understand your frustration Maliq, the Islam you know is not the Islam we see. Every banner carrying mass murderer reinforces what we see. Muslims like you must become the voice of the ummah, so we can see differently. The change youโ€™re looking for starts in house.

Muslims: Islam is a religion of peace. Critics: You're lying. Muslims: The Quran doesn't teach terrorism. Critics: You're deceiving us. Muslims: Terrorists don't represent us. Critics: Yes they do. At this point, it feels like some people aren't interested in understanding Islam. They just want Islam to be guilty.

@DanFriedman81 A large chunk of โ€œaidโ€ is loans that generate interest, tied contracts that send money back to donor countries, and consultant fees paid to Western firms.

Colonial powers built extensive modern infrastructure in places that had only had hunter-gatherer tribes or rudimentary subsistence agriculture prior to their arrival. Since their departures, the last of which were about 50 years ago, over $60 billion in development aid has been sent to Africa every year, totaling around $1.5 trillion in foreign aid to the continent. Huge amounts of that money are lost to waste and graft. Infrastructure that is built by international groups in Africa is rarely maintained and is often stripped and looted for scrap. In 1960, South Korea was basically Gaza; razed by war with a GDP per-capita lower than that of Ethiopia. Today, South Koreaโ€™s GDP per capita is five times higher than that of South Africa, the richest Subsaharan country, and about 30 times Nigeriaโ€™s. You canโ€™t blame colonialism for everything forever. At some point, Africa has to take responsibility for its own failures.

@adesinapelumi_ @Chimacoeche @alexottiofr If they choose to call out an underperforming governor, it is their constitutional right. A Nigeria where good governance is competition will benefit all of us. Let them boast, let it pepper other governors, let those governors get to work and let their people boast too.

The problem with many of you is that you donโ€™t listen to full conversations. You pick half a statement, force it into your preferred narrative, and then use it to mislead your followers. Did you actually listen to what was said? The governor himself acknowledged the efforts to resolve the decades-long Geometric Power challenge and also appreciated the ecosystem that made such progress possible. Or were you too busy looking for talking points to hear the full message? Giving credit to one governor does not require attacking every other governor. Thatโ€™s not analysis; thatโ€™s fan club politics. Iโ€™m also curious: if youโ€™re truly a medical doctor, are you practising in Abia or in Lagos? Because many of the same people who spend all day online diminishing Lagos are either building careers there, doing business there, or planning to relocate there. The irony is always fascinating. Alex Otti deserves commendation for the work he is doing. But throwing unnecessary jabs at other governors who are also delivering results doesnโ€™t make you sound intelligent; it only exposes a poor understanding of governance and economics. Development is not a zero-sum game. States can succeed simultaneously. Mature observers can applaud progress in Abia without pretending that other states are doing nothing. Listen to the full conversation. Understand the context. Then comment.

KING ELOM๐Ÿ‘‘๐ŸŒ•
Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam was asked why he loved communism so much that he never surrendered, despite what the U.S has done. He said he was only fighting for his Nation. Mao fell out with the Soviets at some point cos he believes nothing comes first above his country. Lenin said what worked for them was Communism with Russian Characteristics. There's a reason ignore those Religious hungry Africans hiding under "Marxism" What I see in them is nothing but an escaped Slaves looking for a new Master. The idea of Nationalism n nation loyalty is Allien to them. The master must be "A foreign God" Most of them don't even believe there's something in Marxist ideology that's not compatible to Us Africans, just blind loyalty.

Kindly, show where I made reference to Abacha? The meat of my statement is that a person who never heard of Marx or Lenin can engage in Class struggle. Spartacus and his rebellion are invalid because he did not read Marx? Queen Nzinga is invalid because she did not read Marx? 1/2

Both communism and capitalism are ideologiesโ€”ideas. This means they are not fixed or objective; they can be innovated, transformed, and practiced in ways that fit the context and reality of the practitioner. It's time for Africans to stop accepting static definitions and rigid patterns of theories and ideas.
