People can talk badly about you. They can misrepresent you. They can lie about you, curse you, or dishonor you. Or sometimes, people can just be mean. They can try to tear down what you're building just because that's who they are. And, you don't have to say anything back. We usually respond because of our ego. Not because responding will make anything better. Most often, the greatest display of strength and character is staying silent and walking away. Delony

Yelling at kids is one of the stupidest, most unproductive things you can do. When you yell at a kid, you shut off their ability to receive love, to think critically, and to respond rationally. Yelling makes it impossible for a child to think and act intentionally. So instead, they react out of fear. The only thing yelling at a kid does is show them what an immature, power hungry, out of control brat you are. Delony

I was sorry to hear that Susan Carlson had passed. She was a fine State Representative, respected on both sides of the aisle and a tremendous advocate for women’s rights. RIP

This was a joyous and righteous moment in the arc of Justice. Another incredible milestone in my life as LGBTQ+ person, and a public servant working with @wcalvert and @MayorSlay to advance LGBTQ+ marriage equality in St. Louis and Missouri.
