@Taraustralis Not exactly weird, but if you play I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) on the ISS, it travels pretty much exactly 1000 miles ("500 miles and 500 more") during the duration of the song.

What impact does the inclusion of tier 2 vocabulary in mathematics GCSEs have on students with EAL? forms.gle/G4yJEYgNAWoNiw… If you can spare 10-15 minutes by completing the above questionnaire, you will help me in answering this question (and others) as part of my MA. Thanks!

Does the language in GCSE Mathematics exams disadvantage students with EAL? #edutwitter If you are a secondary school teacher in the UK and can spare 15-20 mins to answer my Masters questionnaire, I hope to provide an answer to the question above. Thanks docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

I am looking to find out what are teachers perceptions of the inclusion of Tier Two Vocabulary in GCSE mathematics papers. Please share this survey as I would love as many responses as possible, not just by maths teachers.

@anna_ka_ganna69 @Taraustralis Hi, I've not unfortunately! I realised it needed more optics knowledge than I had, and I couldn't find any free optics software to help me design it.

@weasdown @Taraustralis hello mate I found your blog recently while trying to find ways to make my own lens, I wanted to ask if you will ever take up that project again.

.@bbcweather I'd love to know what glitch in your system is making it think that Oxford will get winds of over 5,300mph today and tomorrow! That's about 4.5x the fastest winds in the solar system according to NASA (science.nasa.gov/neptune/neptun…) 😆

There it goes! 🛰️👋 ADRAS-J is now in orbit, ready to start its mission of rendezvousing with an aging piece of space debris and observing it closely to determine whether it can be deorbited in future. Proud to be part of this innovative @astroscale_HQ mission studying ways to clean up space.

On Closer Inspection, you might just notice parts of Electron have turned white ❄️☃️ You know it’s almost launch time when ice starts to form on Electron’s carbon composite structure, meaning LOx load is underway.

6 years ago #Today, the robotic spacecraft Cassini reached the end of its pluriennial mission in space. A mission meant to last 3 years in orbit around Saturn, and instead the spacecraft spent 13 years, 76 days there, closing with a Grand Finale. [artist’s concept, NASA/JPL]

You can’t believe how kind the British are. Every morning, a van pulls up outside your house in Coventry. A friendly man brings you a freshly-baked flatbread to eat. It’s just for you,not anyone else in your family. Every afternoon he comes back to make sure you’ve eaten it. 1/

Massively under-reported science story because there's so much going on right now but...it turns out that we might have figured out what's causing this very scary spike. Quick thread, on how WE'VE BEEN ACCIDENTALLY GEOENGINEERING FOR DECADES...but then we stopped:
