People crap on @TheoVon a lot, but I’ve always seen him as a troubled guy just doing his best to survive a world that never made sense to him. It takes courage to talk about this stuff. To admit that your whole life is about needing others to like you to tell you you’re ok. That you’re good enough. That you deserve love. I still struggle with all of that. And it can get really, really dark. Sometimes it genuinely feels like you’re a mistake, and the world wasn’t meant for you to be in it. Whatever else people think of Theo, he has my respect for taking the time to self-examine, to dig deep, and to be honest about his own failings.
