Hellooooo took a three-week Twitter hiatus and it was really nice so I'll be mostly staying away for a while longer.

@TolkienSociety Sure she did, but that doesn’t mean I want to see it —reading about it is different. There are ways to film scenes that suggest nudity without showing it.

After many years of having fears, having those fears realized after failing my first driver’s test, then overcoming them to do it again....I finally passed!

My weekly, online, 3-hour class is about to start, so of course my body is like, "hey, you know what would be great right now? A nap."

It's #hobbitday! The weather is rainy and cool. I'm lighting my eleventy-first birthday candle, listening to LOTR, making Salisbury steak (mushrooms!) with mashed potatoes for dinner, and scones with apple cider jam for dessert. There will also be hot cocoa. @TeawithTolkien

@NoldorApologist Publication absolutely, definitely for the first read. Chronological is fun for a second (or third, or sixth) read just to mix things up. But the first time you've gotta start with LWW.

Another tip: Step 1, attach attachment; the Step 2, write email to which you intend to attach attachment.

@Sally_Clarkson Virgil Wander by Leif Enger is a delight. I read it during a hard time a few years ago and it was exactly what I needed. Full of heart and hope and life, with a bit of whimsy thrown in for good measure.

Friends, I desperately need a new book to read. One with a great, engaging story that show goodness, touches the heart, or gives hope. What are your favorites?
