I'm taking my kids to Ireland tomorrow for spring break. There is a lot about single parenting that I find very painful, but when I travel with my kids I feel so empowered and grateful for my life.

My best tip for anyone trying to get back into reading is to remember that you can read books to avoid other responsibilities in your life, and it can become a vice if you play your cards right.

This misogyny is a dangerous but real trend, and it will scare women away from, eg, the prolife movement and the Catholic Church if these are seen to be too "based."

I wonder if they were inspired by @HaleyCarrots' series on the mouse nuns, which came out ... at least a year earlier. (Look up Sister Seraphina mysteries.)

Wild Friday night over here.

First day of 2026: We finished filling up an entire dumpster w/ junk from the garage. (& from the house & the back porch, too). It feels AMAZING & the dumpster will be picked up tomorrow! Then I napped & my daughters made pork loin, veggies, and choc cake 🥰

I learned how to heal more, how to detach from the past more, how to do so many things on my own. I grieved more, cried more, and let myself feel the pain more. I'm proud of 2025 me, but I'm not sorry to have the year in the rest view mirror.

2025 was a wild ride. 1 yr anniversaries of discovery day, separation, & divorce. Turning 40. Transitioning from having my 4 kids half the time to all the time. Traveling to Paris, London, Oxford, Edinburgh, NYC, NOLA, & Chicago. 120 hot yoga classes. Writing a new book. 💪🏻
