I think it is silly, to be honest, to prevent one's movement when one is still on trial, like the case of Partey. The only exception would be for cases involving terrorism charges or supervised bail. Our 5th and 14th Amendments protect Partey and the Ivorien's right while they are in the USA. Canada should take a cue from a proper legal system.
