🚨 ALERT to all Indian @YouTubeCreators 🚨 A random person filed a copyright strike on my original video. When I emailed him for clarification, he asked me to come on WhatsApp. On WhatsApp he demanded $1000 and threatened: “Pay or I will terminate your @YouTube & @instagram by filing more strikes.” This is pure extortion and abuse of YouTube’s copyright system. How is a random person allowed to take down years of a creator’s hard work? How are scammers using YouTube’s copyright tool as a blackmail weapon? My video was 100% original. I have already submitted a appeal Please help @TeamYouTube @YouTubeIndia @YouTubeCreators @GoogleIndia Please investigate this false strike and remove it immediately. This scam is destroying creators’ livelihoods. I have full WhatsApp screenshots & email proof.

@nighttraderr @YouTubeCreators @YouTube @instagram A similar incident happened with one of my clients. Filed an infringement suit in Delhi High Court. The strikes stopped and Youtube started complying diligently. The infringers are begging to settle.

@nighttraderr @YouTubeCreators @YouTube @instagram This is a clear abuse of the copyright strike system filing false claims and demanding money off-platform is extortion. Platforms must verify claimants and penalize fraudulent actors or this system will continue to be exploited against creators.

@nighttraderr @YouTubeCreators @YouTube @instagram so, from process management POV its easier for the platform to accept all strike requests, and then deal with some rollbacks then to dig into each case thats why scam works perfectly on youtube
