@Reformed_Trader I truly believe it is because ASTS is not it's own launch provider. The market thinks Bezos and Musk will cut off launches. Also, less competitors in the space may be seen negatively. It may appear that there is not room for others. It's the wrong take. But it is what it is.

$ASTS this x100. There are 10-12 rocket launch providers that are comparable to $RKLB, 40-50 active orbital launch providers, and over 100 startups in development. On the other hand there are only a handful (3/4) D2D providers with maybe 15 wanting to enter the D2D market (being generous). To reiterate Tut's point, we don't see RKLB tank when SpaceX clears milestones with Starship or when Blue Origin clears milestones with New Glenn. Yet anytime SpaceX, and now Amazon, makes a move in D2D that is 2-4 years out before materializing ASTS collapses. It doesn't make sense when you look at it that way.

$ASTS: I've just come to the realization that Rocket Lab $RKLB is in the same industry with SpaceX and Blue Origin yet their stock doesn't go down whenever their competitors do something

@financialjuice That's positive and negative. Glad manufacturing is rocking, but kiss any near term rate cuts goodbye. The Fed will likely hold the line.

@spacanpanman Could the acquisition help Amazon get an extension? Amazon is roughly 1350 satellites short of their FCC agreement. I think you might be on to something here.

$ASTS $AMZN $GSAT: I've seen some bad takes, but this is absolutely hairbrained. Acquiring Globalstar's existing constellation in no way helps Amazon achieve its 1,600x satellite buildout requirement for Leo by July 2026 set by the FCC.

@PP218_ @Reformed_Trader Yes, that is very possible. It just seemed that Bezos was more involved with ASTS than say Musk was. With many posts and fanfare. I may be wrong, but I do not remember Elon touring Midland before the SpaceX launches. Just a theory.

@21stCentDigBoy @Reformed_Trader Alternatively, there’s the possibility that an offer was never made. It’s just as likely Bezos never even knocked on that door.

Somehow $AMZN is additional competition for $ASTS but not for $SATS based on market reaction thus far. This is nothing new though. The market has always come down harder on ASTS on market validating news than any other company I've followed.

@ASTS_Investors This is assuming there still isn't something brewing with Amazon. The current situation may not be as surface level as it looks to everyone. The whole thing just doesn't feel that clean.

@PatAdams96 Yeah, keep saying refunds were amazing and maybe it will come true. Most of the people I know, including myself, paid more this year than any other. We are all blue collar and middle class. This is complete bullshit.

@spacanpanman I have to wonder if this is why the PR has been noticeably lacking. I wouldn't waste any good news to be overshadowed by this acquisition. Also, if things weren't going well they would have sold to Bezos. I am now sure he made an offer at some point.

$ASTS: AST sold off when SpaceX acquired $SATS and then rebounded to all time highs. It's going to take the market some time to digest the strategic implications. The strategic value of AST SpaceMobile to Google, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, all MNOs globally, etc has gone up markedly. STAY FOCUSED™️

@kingtutcap Even Grok calls this a positive for ASTS.- No, the Amazon-Globalstar acquisition is not bad for AST SpaceMobile (ASTS)—it's broadly positive for the entire direct-to-device (D2D) satellite sector, including ASTS, as a strong market validator amid rising competition with Starlink.

Amazon Leo@Amazonleo

Amazon is acquiring @Globalstar to support our long-term vision for Amazon Leo. The agreement will allow us to build a next-generation direct-to-device constellation that connects to Leo first- and second-generation systems, forming a unified network to connect hundreds of millions of customer endpoints globally.

@DepaolaSal @Reformed_Trader @spacanpanman Agreed. People should be more worried about leaving things incomplete than their short term portfolio losses. Otherwise we will be doing this once a decade into perpetuity and the citizenry of Iran with have died in the protests for nothing. Not to mention American soldiers lost.

@ianmiles I am disgusted to read how so many regard the mid vial treatment of a person that obviously had a mental health issue. Support was needed not hate. With all due respect this is not a symbol of western civilisation, that is the behaviour of cowards.

🇺🇸Hunter Biden said he's joining Andrew Callaghan's Carnival Tour and he's 100% in for a cage match against Eric and Don Jr: "If he can't pull it off, I'm still coming." Please make this happen. @Channel5iveNews x.com/TMZ/status/204…

🚨🇺🇸 HUNTER ON THE ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION OF TRUMP: “DON’T WANT ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTS? THEN DON’T ACT LIKE A FASCIST” Yes, you read that right… Hunter Biden, the guy Democrats wish would just stop talking, is now sounding like he's justifying political violence, as long as you’re called a “fascist.” According to him, if people are comparing you to Nazis and there are assassination attempts happening around the country, well… maybe it’s your fault for acting like Hitler. No spin, no subtlety, just a wild rant about federal agents dragging pregnant women out of cars, death camps in El Salvador, and the biggest police force in U.S. history. He claims he’s against fascism, but what he’s really doing is excusing chaos as long as the target fits the label. "You don't want to be called a fascist? Don't act like a fascist. And what I mean by fascism is this: deputizing the largest federal police force in history to go on America's streets, masked, without warrants, drag pregnant women out of their cars in the snow and kneel on their backs. Sending people to prisons, death camps in El Salvador with no due process. I promise you, I believe this with all my heart, you and I don’t have any distance between us on what we think about immigrants and immigration." Source: @Rightanglenews, @ShawnRyan762

🇮🇷 Iran just released a photo of what it claims is a US Chinook helicopter hit in a drone strike on a base in Kuwait. The U.S. hasn't confirmed or denied it... which is itself a kind of answer. A Chinook is a transport helicopter. If this is real, Iran hit the thing that moves people. Source: Tasnim, BintJbeil, Channel 12

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Iran's Quds Force commander says the USS Gerald Ford retreating from Bab el-Mandeb proves America is on its way out of the region. One carrier pulling back from one strait is being sold as the beginning of the end of US power in the Middle East. He might be overreading a tactical move. Or he might be reading it exactly right. @PressTV
