@CSmartarsery @jengerson @ikwilson I completely get where you're coming from and enjoy your perspective. We can learn from disagreement without being disagreeable. Let's see where the future takes us... I'm here to stay regardless of the outcome of these votes lol

@AdmMcC @jengerson @ikwilson Just so you know I love Canada. I tried for 25% of my life to help it. I'm just not throwing my family to the wolves for people 3,500 kms away who don't like us. A harmful future approaches, whether you agree or not. And we didn't vote for it. ✌️

You think Alberta -- a province of 5 million people with significant oil reserves -- has more resources than ...the UK. A country of almost 70 million and a GDP of, like, 3.7 Trillion in USD, give or take.
Chris Minister of Smartarsery@CSmartarsery

@jengerson Can I borrow your time machine and go take a look? The United Kingdom and Alberta are apples & oranges. They are nowhere near Alberta in resources. I don't think this fear campaign you folks have is going to work.

@CSmartarsery @jengerson I'll add this - If you want me to take back that I think you're spiralling us to a crisis then get the pencil pushers at the Alberta Prosperity Project to game plan how they intend to hire the people outlined in the Value of Freedom document and maybe you'll make a believer of me

@CSmartarsery @jengerson Your bad ideas are just that... damaging. You seem like a decent and sincere guy though. Once this nonsense of secession from Canada is over I look forward to talking about the 99% of things I probably agree with you on... or going back to not caring about politics.

@CSmartarsery @jengerson Your ideas are ill conceived, you have no solutions, and I think you should think very deeply about the damage you're causing our province and country. Best.

So you really don't care about Albertans then. And if you are one yourself, you don't care about your family either. Everything I just said above is true. Canada is crashing. And you don't have real freedom or rights. Maybe instead of the unvaccinated, next time they come after you. Or in 20 years and we throw the young generation to the wolves because we wouldn't stand up for them now. When we had the chance to. Vote however you wish bud. All the best.

@CSmartarsery @jengerson Of course I'm going to vote. In the meantime, I'm going to call influencers like yourself out for the damage they are causing conservatism. You have your opinion but hear mine... I don't think you could be doing more work for Nenshi than you're doing right now with this nonsense

@CSmartarsery @jengerson Look.. what's happening right now is shady and barely democratic. If secessionists really cared about democracy they'd be focused on making policy or winning MLA seats.. not plotting to take over the UCP by calling an SGM and ousting Premier Smith.

Absolutely. So lets vote on it. And see whats up. This is very easy. Do you agree after 100 years of Independence being talked about in Alberta folks should at least get a vote? Quebec had 2 already. And a provincial police force. And a pension plan. And control their own carbon taxes. And get Equalization. Lol. A democratic fair vote? Is this not at least fair to everyone? Instead of all this other bullsh*t.

Rick, I offered you an interview on separatism. You passed. Instead, you’re out here cosplaying as Alberta’s bravest keyboard warrior while carrying water for one of the dumbest ideas in modern Alberta politics. The old Rick would’ve had the guts to ask the questions himself.

@CSmartarsery @jengerson The geopolitics of energy are front and centre on the minds of fellow Canadians. This is not the time to be manipulated into losing focus on major gains that we can make through negotiation within confederation.

Look. Canada has some pretty diverse political opinions... but you have to realize that so does Alberta? As you and your influencer friends project your version of a post secession utopia onto AB just keep in mind that whatever government this new country forms will need to meet the needs and ideals of people that think very differently than you do. There is a high likelihood that you may find that out sooner than later when secession, UCP party infighting, vote splits, result in an NDP government forming. Smith is doing a decent job. We are snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

@CSmartarsery @jengerson I just told you. We have no plan to handle the labour force transition. We will need to recreate Fort McMurray circa 2000 for paper jockeys just to administer having borders, foreign diplomats, food safety, prisons. Do you not understand how bad that could get? Zero strategy.

How is it way worse? Nobody knows? An unhandcuffed Alberta. And eventually probably Saskatchewan joining? A juggernaut. Currently 3 provinces contribute to equalization without receiving any. BC, Alberta & Saskatchewan. BC is a dumpster fire, land disputes, and currently with the largest exodus of people & business in decades. If Alberta gained Independence the million or so people in Saskatchewan wouldn't like floating the whole country financially. They'd follow soon after. Ask me about freedom, rights & democracy next. Humor me.

I'm not a fan of Liberal Policy... but that doesn't mean I want to go down a path that is objectively WAY WORSE. It might make sense to figure things out before knee capping our Province. The Alberta Prosperity Project could finish its costing document Value of Freedom to include a plan for labour force transitions. How many people do we need to hire from outside of Alberta? How many houses do we need to build? What's the cost of that infrastructure? Do we think they'll want to move here? Those kinds of questions need to be answered.

Carney is doing an experimental brand new carbon capture Brookfield pipeline pathways bullsh*t. And everyone is saying its going to make us uncompetitive price-wise. On purpose. A Trillion of investment walked out of Canada in the last decade. And they keep doing the same things. On purpose. Like whats up man?

@CSmartarsery @jengerson Right. To staff these jobs you'd need to enter into experimental levels of labour force transition or hope for/prepare for extremely high levels of job seeking immigration. Not exactly what most proponents of secession are wanting to do.

@Zone3Garden Look... Druh Farrell lost in my riding by like 380 votes to Nicolaides. If you think you can save a seat like this one, and many others like it, with a UCP civil war is going then all power to you and Nenshi thanks you.

@AdmMcC 2/2 That was not vote splitting but progressives fed up with PCs, so they voted NDP to teach PCs a lesson... not that PCs learned it. Look how they ignore us now & openly campaigning AGAINST the UCP base. No. I'm not NDP. But I know UCP leadership is not between Smith & Nenshi.

Alberta, THIS is why the Smith govt needs to go. The UCP base wants independence on the ballot. Smith has blocked that and is actively campaigning against her base. If the MLAs in line with Nenshi & the NDP are not replaced, the UCP will lose hundreds of thousands of votes.

@AdmMcC You are confused. 2012 election had a PC govt with 66 seats & a Wildrose opposition of 17 seats. The libs & NDP had 9 seats Then Smith crossed the floor & the Redford PCs embraced corruption & incompetence. THAT led to 2015 when Wildrose had 21 seats, PCs 9, & NDP had 54. 1/2

@DirtlumpIII @DustyRoseYYC Glad to meet another business owner. At peak CNRL Horizon alone had like 7000 workers during its construction. Most secessionists are very much against immigration but if they worked in these environments they would understand the scale of their intended endeavours.

@AdmMcC @DustyRoseYYC My company has done grass roots plants with 50 staff. We are free to use foreign labor from places like Saskatchewan. As if we've relied on eastern expertise from provinces to power our energy industry beyond some typical labor.

Alberta independence is all but guaranteed to result in a booming economy once we are released from the shackles of confederation. Taking control of our borders, spending, immigration, and environmental policy, will allow us to trade with the complete suite of tools afforded to nation states, regulate in a manner that’s sensitive to our local industry, and spend based on Albertans’ priorities. These are exciting times! We get to unleash the adventurous and nation-building spirit of Albertans once again!

@DanielMacl1n You're stating that Alberta Must Lead is folding its best card by seceding from Canada. That's insane. It would literally be walking away from the only leverage we have... which is our contributions to the confederation.
