@HillF1 Agree completely; I think history and the story of Senna has given Prost an unfairly raw deal - perpetuated more recently by the doc and the Netflix series (good as they both are).

@HillF1 They either need a hard and fast rule, if such a thing can exist, and stick to it rigidly or simply not bother.
Because, as you say, it looks like inconsistency otherwise.

I'm not convinced the Stewarding was consistent in that race. But Lando went deep to pass and did so off track. That said, Max did not give him room on the exit and barged him off the track in turn 1 lap 1. The rules need to be better #f1

1996 – A 20th GP victory. #OnThisDay 28th July, Damon Hill secured his 20th Grand Prix victory with @williamsf1, matching the career tally of Michael @schumacher, by winning the 1996 German Grand Prix. Although this marked @HillF1’s seventh win of the season, it was not an easy feat. A poor start put him behind the Benettons of Jean Alesi and Gerhard Berger. However, a superior strategy allowed Hill to overtake Alesi. When it seemed he would have to settle for second place, Berger’s engine failed three laps from the finish, handing Hill the victory. Berger’s French teammate, Alesi finished second, while Canadian Jacques Villeneuve took third in the other Williams-Renault. With this victory, Hill extended his lead over Villeneuve in the 1996 Drivers’ Championship to 21 points, with five races remaining. Hill went on to win the Championship. #f1 #formula1 #OTD
