@boneheadtruckrs Anybody who denies it’s coming is stupid or in denial. Some trucking jobs will last longer than others, but the massive amount of unemployed drivers will drive wages down for all. Be working on your plan B.

I've been warning people about AUTONOMOUS TRUCKS for years. The brain dead say it will never happen. Well it is happening now. That's why the ATA caved so easily to our fight about the foreigners even though they have been pushing it. Now they don't need foreigners because the self driving trucks are here. I did a video about a year ago reacting to Hirschbach drivers doing a promo for autonomous trucks. You know what's also crazy? Mainstream trucking media is actually being sponsored by autonomous truck makers. I keep telling you guys that these people don't care about truck drivers. When are we gonna organize against self driving trucks? It worked for the port workers... But some of yall are brainwashed against unions too...

@adamlwingfield I’ve seen some companies training in a 6 speed manual truck pulling a small flatbed trailer. It apparently qualifies to get you a CDL, but damn, you ain’t ready to drive a big full sized truck and trailer.

Truck driver training should be done in a standard sleeper, tandem axle tractor. Not a single axle day cab. You should be trained on the equipment that will be more than likely what you are operating in the beginning and learn the size and spatial awareness. For example, you can’t just look over your shoulder when coupling in a sleeper tractor, so you shouldn’t be taught how to drive in one.

I don’t know if I’m wasting my time with this or not, but I’m gonna give it a chance. Referral bonuses are a great way to make a few bucks on your off days. 🤷‍♂️
