@ick_real I'm 70. I think about writing about 10 more books and then maybe I'll think about slowing down. But I never think about how many years I have left.

When people get in their 50s and 60s and up, do you start thinking about how many years you have left? I’m curious

@BeckyLTuch Read the next sentence. This topic isn't that clear-cut. Ultimately, if the final product is meaningfully designed by a human author, and reasonably distinguishable from existing products, then it can be copyrighted. Courts will also rule in favor of this notion.

Wow, one aspect of the AI debate not nearly discussed enough is the question of copyright. Can an author actually copyright a book partly written by AI?...Turns out NO, they cannot.

Just finished the first draft of a thriller novella I've been thinking about writing since 2013!

@90syankskid Every game matters equally. These first two wins are great and should be celebrated. We'd have fans on the ledge if we had lost two games without scoring, so the inverse has to be true as well. One more win in March or April last year and things could well have been different.

@Kacey_Combs The inspiration may be subtle. Poets have a different relationship with words, and I admire them for that. Their sensibilities influence my writing style. It's said we writers must find our voice but I believe voice is not static, but it evolves as we do. Poets help me to evolve

@SusanSavageLee1 I leave it all in to start, and then when the first draft is done, I look at the page count and start cutting chapters or scenes that move the plot forward the least until I get to where I want the ms to be.

@Bucfish67 @SleeperYankees @JonHeyman Yes, six hits and a homerun is fine in less than 5 innings. I think he's a fine pitcher. But he's not proven himself to be as good as the great ones I've seen over the years from Koufax to Gibson to Seaver to Guidrey to Ryan to Carlton etc. I've seen too many burn out. Let's see

@ArizonaSunset2 @SleeperYankees @JonHeyman Hardly an exhibition. He faced maybe the best lineup ever and did just fine. If you really think Skenes can’t handle pressure, I can’t help you. Keep all of the overhyped prospects. Every pitcher is arm trouble waiting to happen even Cam Lagrange and Elmer.
