@BeckyLTuch Read the next sentence. This topic isn't that clear-cut. Ultimately, if the final product is meaningfully designed by a human author, and reasonably distinguishable from existing products, then it can be copyrighted. Courts will also rule in favor of this notion.

Wow, one aspect of the AI debate not nearly discussed enough is the question of copyright. Can an author actually copyright a book partly written by AI?...Turns out NO, they cannot.

@90syankskid Every game matters equally. These first two wins are great and should be celebrated. We'd have fans on the ledge if we had lost two games without scoring, so the inverse has to be true as well. One more win in March or April last year and things could well have been different.

@Kacey_Combs The inspiration may be subtle. Poets have a different relationship with words, and I admire them for that. Their sensibilities influence my writing style. It's said we writers must find our voice but I believe voice is not static, but it evolves as we do. Poets help me to evolve

@SusanSavageLee1 I leave it all in to start, and then when the first draft is done, I look at the page count and start cutting chapters or scenes that move the plot forward the least until I get to where I want the ms to be.

@BabbleBronx That's how it seems. Just from the NYYalone when they were here, as I understand it: Gerrit Cole, Clarke Schmidt (2x)) Jordan Montgomery, Jonathan Loaisiga, Domingo German, Nathan Eovaldi, Michael Pineda, Zack Britton, and Jake Cousins. They don't pitch anymore. They throw hard.

@Bucfish67 @SleeperYankees @JonHeyman Yes, six hits and a homerun is fine in less than 5 innings. I think he's a fine pitcher. But he's not proven himself to be as good as the great ones I've seen over the years from Koufax to Gibson to Seaver to Guidrey to Ryan to Carlton etc. I've seen too many burn out. Let's see

Keep all of the overhyped prospects. Every pitcher is arm trouble waiting to happen even Cam Lagrange and Elmer.

I like Skenes but I don't see all the fuss just yet. I'm not for giving up those prospects for him. He's arm trouble waiting to happen
