@Jamielkey @NicoleShanahan Very easy problem to fix. Make it easy for the H1B visa recipient to move between companies. The only reason they can be paid less or forced to work more is because they can't easily switch companies like American citizens.

@NicoleShanahan Worked for Fortune 500 for 25 years in exexutive roles,our CEO in a closed meeting said, '...we can bring in H1B, they will work 65 hours per week, we only have to pay them enough to rent an apartment and they will be happy because they just want way to be here'. I was aghast.

Having lived in Silicon Valley for 20+ years and founded and sold an AI company, I've seen firsthand how we rely on H-1B to fill grueling, unglamorous coding jobs. These jobs are essential, and we need capable people doing them. But the system needs an overhaul. 🧵 Here's why:

@DavidSacks 8 USC 1158 says “Any alien who is physically present in the United States or who arrives in the United States … may apply for asylum”. That asylum request then triggers a lot of due process, during which the immigrant disappears.

The only reason there’s a crisis at the border is that Democrats rebranded “illegal immigration” as “asylum seeking.” According to them, these magic words give anyone in the world the right to enter the USA, with no federal power to stop it. Obviously this cannot be the case.

@a_mneff Most of the advice you’re receiving is some version of “hang in there, be kind to yourself.” I agree with this advice 110%. But, it is only a first step. You need to reflect on the underlying causes. Learning style? Undiagnosed disability or anxiety? Heart not in it?

@ImagingDoctor @Safet_MD @LessneVIR @IR_Doctor @AtulGupta_MD I’ve had great results with the Epiq Percunav system. Obviously there is a learning curve. I think 10 cases or so. I use it regularly for liver ablations and all sorts of biopsies. It’s significantly lowered my radiation exposure on several cases.

IR’s do everything. Provide tremendous value to their practices, hospitals, and healthcare. No other procedural specialty can provide the same depth and breadth as IR. This is only half of the procedures performed by 1 IR in 1 day on 9/20; and it’s routine. @SIRspecialists #IRad
