We know NFL teams can vary wildly from pre-draft groupthink. Today, you will probably see one of these names at 27. KC Concepcion Caleb Lomu Cashius Howell Omar Cooper Denzel Boston Give me your darkhorse 49ers picks nobody has in rd1. I'll start: Gabe Jacas

@Graham_SFN Rutledge is a good one. A Pearsall-like Day 2 projection pre-draft at need position, then goes shockingly high.

I want to see some darker horses! Prospects you NEVER see in Rd 1 of mocks. Remember the Ricky Pearsall pick? Consistently Day 2 of mocks, but didn't sniff 1st round. Skyler Bell would be my Pearsall of 2026... a guy like Ted Hurst has serious helium, but that might be too much.

@ABZato Williams has been lost in this WR class, similar to Skyler Bell. Could surprise how high they go.

@BDPeacock @Got_It_4_Cel Lol. Do you remember Peter Schmeichel the man u goaly in the 90s? This is his son, Kasper. Mainly played for Leicester. Good, but nothing on his dad.

@BDPeacock I’m honestly pretty late on him, what has made you go in the other direction?

@JasonPSargent Good one! Never see him there, but consistently in rd 2. Great workouts, tape... a true darkhorse.

@BDPeacock Darkhorse: Keionte Scott, Miami Versatile DB that can play anywhere in the secondary (slot, outside corner, safety). Good against the run. Good ball skills. He’s a little bit older, but also means he can plug in day one and be ready to go, which seems to fit SF’s draft plans

@BDPeacock a true shocker would be Jadarian Price. Those Shan comments about reducing CMC's workload...

@ybnjj48 Im going the other direction on him. Certainly in consideration at 27, though.

@AnthonyBlock1 Is Brazzell a Shanahan type? Would be a shocker to me, but some folks really love him...

@rs_morrison Could go anywhere from mid-1st to late 2nd. I'll prob have him late rd1 in final mock. So right neighborhood.

@BDPeacock Malachi Lawrence is an interesting name, but I have no idea if that would be too early for him.

@BDPeacock I think we get the best available edge at 27, then a WR with the 2nd round pick. Fills 2 needs with top 60 prospects then add depth & back end roster help with the 4th round picks.

@AlajuwonUrHero Tyson is the odd case where if he falls to 27, that means the medical is a problem, and you prob can't make that pick. Will be fascinating to see where he goes.
