Impossible for us all to be equal nor would we really want to be, we should however be fair, with stronger helping the weaker 💪🤝 Still politically homeless

@AngelaRayner You just ruined the country to try and be popular. Well, that backfired. You have made things demonstrably worse for British

By ending the two-child benefit cap, we have delivered relief for millions of children whose families struggled to provide the basic necessities of life. This is the difference we can make together, but only with your support. Vote for your Labour team on the 7th May 🌹

The state pension is not a random government favour, it’s the back end of a 35–40 year compulsory “contract” where people are forced to hand over National Insurance on the clear promise of a basic pension at the end. Politicians and think tanks helped design an unfunded, pay‑as‑you‑go system where today’s workers pay today’s pensioners, then have the gall to call it “unsustainable” as if the public dreamt it up. If a private firm sold you a retirement product on fixed terms, took your money for four decades, then announced at 66 that you “didn’t really need it” and would henceforth be means‑tested or frozen, they would be in court for mis‑selling and fraud. The crisis here is not pensioners “leeching off the young”, it’s a political class that built a Ponzi‑style NI system, diverted the proceeds for other spending, and now wants to default on the people who kept their side of the bargain. You do not blame the victims of a defective product for believing the brochure; you go after the people who wrote it.

Tory MP James Cleverley is rightly furious that travellers have built an illegal camp in the lovely village of Willows Green, Felsted, Essex, and did it over the Bank holiday when the council had shut shop. But the truth neither Cleverley nor his party did a thing about travellers during their years in office. Had to wait for Reform to promise these kind of camps will become a police matter where the cops will have the right to arrest travellers and seize caravans. One of the reasons Tories will be slaughtered on Thursday is that the party is full of Cleverleys. He and others like him should bugger off to the Lib Dems. The faster the better.

New twist in the Shabana Mahmood voting story. Yesterday @brumdispatch revealed that Mahmood signed two postal ballot documents in 2004 with very different signatures. Now look at one of those SM signatures alongside one from her sister. And look at the dates. The same hand?

I was a firearms officer too Andy (for over 20 years), and I'm glad to say I never had to disarm an active terrorist who had just stabbed members of the public. My training was simple (and probably very similar to yours): if a suspect was not complying with commands to disarm and drop a knife, and I had formed an honest held belief that there was an imminent threat to life, the suspect would be shot until the imminent threat to life was no more. Not Tasered. Not kicked in the head. Shot. Aiming at the centre body mass. In all probability, lethal force being used. These officers were exceeding brave. If that suspect could have got back up off the floor, still armed with the knife, he could have killed and / or seriously injured many more people in a frenzied attack - including the officers - in a very short space of time. These unarmed officers could not take that risk. Using the NDM, it is clear to all sensible and knowledgeable people that the use of force utilised in these circumstances - including the kicks to the head - was fully justified. These officers are heroes, and deserve our full admiration and praise.
Andy George@andygeorgeni

@sarahknapton @JackJDees I have been a police officer for nearly 27 years, was on OFC in ARVs for 10 years and worked on the national taser course in 2022. I don't ever remember being trained to kick someone in the head, although any use of force can be justified in certain circumstances

@LNallalingham What I really don’t understand is why union members are not outraged at the misuse of subscriptions. Just think how many apprenticeship could be funded, grievances fought for and workplace conditions improved with that sort of money. 🤬

🚨 Unions have donated over £28m to Labour since Keir Starmer became leader. Labour have also handed out over £9bn in public sector pay rises to union-led workers, since taking power. That sounds like a bigger story to me, Pippa…

Where do they find idiot judges like Fiona Barrie? Appearing in front of her was an animal called Ismat Ullah, a Pakistani who came here on a student visa and stayed illegally. He pretended to befriend a homeless woman, then punched her , throttled her and raped her several times. Instead of pointing Ullah was a piece of filth, she said it must have been “difficult” for him to be in custody when English wasn’t his first language and sympathised with his mental health issues. Have you noticed all these migrants criminals play the mental health card - including the Golders Green attacker. She gave Ullah, 28, 15 years but there was no order for a minimum term nor a deportation order at the end of the sentence. Why? Judge Barrie has been on the bench for 17 years. Do us all a favour and stand down.

Don't waste our time with nonsense. I haven't seen the kind of people attending Tommy's protests going on a Muslim hunt, stabbing and killing any Muslim they come across. If you can show me one terrorist attack where a Muslim was beheaded or murdered by a non-Muslim, I'll take your argument seriously. There's simply no fucking comparison.

5 years ago yesterday, was when it was first reported that Sir Keir Starmer appeared to have had more than a ‘necessary work event’ in a Labour MP’s office in Durham. He was holding a bottle of beer and they had ordered a pizza delivery during Covid lockdown. He has always been a hypocrite.

Why is it bad when President Trump does it? Do the Democrats, the UN and NATO allies hate President Trump or the Iranians, or both? In 2011, Obama launched a 7 month airstrike in Libya without congressional authorization, stating it was a limited humanitarian operation, not a war. He bypassed Congress entirely, claiming UN and NATO approval was enough. The conflict ended with Gaddafi’s death. He called 2000 deaths a massacre. But when Iranians are screaming through an Internet blackout after the regime slaughtered 45 thousand people in just a few days, with 1000s of videos to prove it, and when they execute protesters indiscriminately on a daily basis, the Democrats, the UN and NATO countries all side with the barbaric regime. And Iranians are even pro America and pro western values. So Why don’t Iranian lives matter to them? Why does President Trump have to go through so many hoops when the Islamic regime is also a threat to the U.S. and the world? @POTUS @marcorubio
