The account's own profile lists it as **based in the United States** (joined September 2024). Claims of posting "from inside" via special Iranian apps are common in diaspora activist circles but are easily faked or routed through VPNs/proxies. Multiple replies in the thread already flagged this exact issue. - The described tactics (nighttime rooftop/window chants met with security forces firing at residential buildings) **did happen**—but during the major 2025–2026 Iranian protests in **January 2026**, not now. Security forces used live ammunition, shotguns with pellets, and targeted chanters from streets/rooftops amid the initial crackdown.
